What are your predictions? Which Laker need step up this game?

It seems like it does not matter anymore whether the Lakers win this game against the Jazz on where they are going to face off in the first round. Seems like they will face the Timberwolves which is the team who defeated the Lakers last season. I was kind of leaning or hoping that they would have faced the Rockets, but the two stars getting hurt did not help the team, but then again the two games the Lakers lost was against OKC, so it probably would have ended with a loss any ways even if Doncic and Reaves had played the two games.

The Timberwolves are having some issues according the media, so maybe the Lakers can pull it out.

Well, a lot is riding on tomorrow’s games. If the Nuggets lose to the Spurs and we beat the Jazz, we will retake the 3rd spot and face the Wolves. If they win and we win, we are staying in the 4th spot to face the Rockets. Either way, we will have home court advantage, but missing very crucial players. We just don’t have the firepower with Austin and Luka out. Can these guys hold down the fort until game 3?

After the Bufkin waiver, they signed Nick Smith Jr. to a 2-year contract.

Worked out well for him and a reasonable move by the Lakers.

I wonder what the Lakers prefer, or rather who they would prefer to play in the 1st round.

It's a completely different prospect without Doncic and Reaves but I see the Lakers performing better against older, slower teams like the Rockets...

The Jazz have 5 key players out. I've had my eye on Filipowski since seeing him in Summer lEague.

He's going to be a beast next season...

The Lakers win this one if they bring the energy.

JJ needs to use more of his bench for that to occur.

If he exhausts LeBron at this point the team will falter with him...

I know this guy Shiebwe (sp?). His brother played for my high school in Pittsburgh a couple of years ago.

They are an uncanny rebounding family from Africa who have bounced around trying to find the best situation to get to the NBA.

Oscar figured it out and ought to be starting for someone.

Looks like the Spurs/Nuggets game was decided awhile ago by a higher power. Spurs are handing them the game. We will be 4th. Might as well play the bench tonight.

Looks like the Lakers will play against the Rockets.

Maybe Luka and Reaves get back for that serious. Lakers handling the Jazz in the first half. Lakers up big!

I wonder if Ayton is having a low energy issue?

Every time he exerts himself, he needs a brief breather.

Those f'n vaccines have harmed many people in many ways but most heart injuries and blood circulation which is the basis for oxygenated blood circulation especially into the tiny little capillaries which live at the extremities.

Keep an eye on his reaction after exertion. It's obvious once you notice it.

He does not get back down the court after defense heavy exchanges and even dunks...

Bronny looking really good lately.

He ought to send what's his name a picture of his butt. Smile

Dalton had 17 points in 12 minutes.

Why the heck can't he do that more often if only for his own sake?

Finally JJ gave Knecht a few minutes. I believe he was five out of five from the three point line, nothing but net. Very impressive! Who ever gets him next season will get a good player who was never given a chance with the Lakers.

Bronny has improved his game, but he is still making some dumb passes for an interception.

The player who has really disappointed me is LaRavia. I believe he only scored two points on a lay up. He is playing good defense, but he is capable of hitting the three from the corner. I would trust him more taking that shot over Vando. But he does need to help LeBron on offense also, especially in the playoffs.

I think he really was not happy with Pelinka when they traded him to the Hornets. Was still considered a rookie, then he was brought back and the coach never gave him much of a chance to create plays for him. Some team that was watching the Lakers tonight and they need a offensive good shooter will pick him up for next season. He will flourish with another team I believe.
