Stephane Lasme should get a shot first...sign him to a 10-day contract and see if he can do anything...Ruben Patterson has a history & the Lakers might not want him...maybe Lasme is a diamond in the rough...
These young stars are currently competing night in and night out to fulfill their dreams of reaching the NBA. Since they play fewer games in the Development League and end their season earlier, they will likely be fully charged to handle the rigors of the NBA's grueling postseason. It was our job to analyze piles of NBDL game-tape and identify ten glaring NBDL names to keep an eye on when teams begin to call upon the D-League for help.
Here are the ten most exciting players we here at RealGM hope to see make an extended appearance on the big stage this season:
2. Stephane Lasme " L.A. D-Fenders
Lasme was drafted by the Golden State Warriors with the forty-sixth overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. He has played only one game for the Warriors this season, but has been given ample time to display his skills for the L.A. D-Fenders. He is currently helping the team with 10.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and is leading the NBDL with 2.71 blocks per game. His tenacity on the defensive side will be a welcomed addition to the Warriors come stretch time.

DO WE HAVE ROOM FOR ONE MORE PLAYER????
If we do Mitch definitely need to start scouting for a defensive SPECIALICIST!!!!
i thought we're full at 15 after we signed Mbenga
Mbenga is only signed to a 10 day contract. We should look into Sean Banks or Stephen Lasme. I'd even consider former Laker Devin Green
After Mbenga, I say we go after Stephen Lasme.
i still think we can get webber... id love it.. hes exactly wat we need..
do you guys make threads for everything..

Stephane had 15-9 and 3 blocks last game.
Just a small update:
Sean Banks named Player of the Week, averaging 31.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists.
Stephane's debut with the Miami Heat:
12 minutes, 2 points, 4 boards, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 blocks, +8 +/-, which led the team.
the lakers should put gerald green on the dfenders
so they can decide whether to keep him or just get rid of him next season
Was Kobe Carl not playing? I thought he was getting playing time on the D-Fenders.
mccoy needs to seriously stop playing basketball.. he was in my nba 2k2 i think... and hes in the d league 6 years later?
One day he'll get signed again, its still pretty tough in the d league tho, i wish i was as good as those guys
If you can’t be a Laker, then the D-Fenders are the next closest thing. Just ask Brandon Heath and Joe Crawford.
Heath and Crawford, who most recently were on the Lakers’ training camp roster, were selected by the D-Fenders (the Lakers’ Developmental League affliate) in the D-League draft.
The Los Angeles D-Fenders announced that Heath and Crawford will join Darren Cooper, former UC Irvine standout Patrick Sanders, Johnny Dukes, Ryan Forehan-Kelly and Rashid Byrd will join
Selected by the Lakers with the 58th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, Crawford, who played four seasons at the University of Kentucky, was selected by the Lakers with the 58th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. In six preseason games with the Lakers, Crawford averaged 2.8 points in 7.3 minutes.
Heath, a 6-3 guard out of San Diego State spent last season playing in France for Entente Orleans 45 where he averaged 12.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 25 games. In five preseason games with the Lakers, Heath averaged 1.4 points in 8.6 minutes.

I am glad Joe Crawford signed with us. I think he has potential to be a future part of our team.
What about cj giles
Agreed.
Our future(after Kobe's retirement) looks alright but we need a big time scorer. I have some thinking that maybe J-Craw gets that role. I am VERY curious to see how he will do in the D-League. As for Heath, I feel like Giles should have been there instead
BTW, this has already been posted

agreed..he needs work though...glad he is working on the D-fenders!!
better than coby karl
Well, maybe some time on the Defenders will land Crawford an NBA position in the future. I'm glad we have him on the team.
Box score from tonight's game against the Albuquerque Thunderbirds. Their top draft pick Deron Washington didn't shot the ball well but did other things well.

The Los Angeles D-Fenders won the 2011 NBA Development League’s Draft Lottery and will have the first overall selection in the 2011 NBA D-League Draft. The lottery took place in Denver, CO today at the League’s annual coaches meetings. The NBA D-League Draft will be held Thursday, November 3.
The Austin Toros secured the second selection, while the Maine Red Claws, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Texas Legends round out the top five.
“The Draft Lottery tips off the NBA D-League’s 11th season in which our regular season begins as planned November 25,” said NBA D-League President Dan Reed.
The NBA D-League Draft utilizes a “serpentine” format, meaning the order will alternate in each of the eight rounds. For example, the team picking last in the first round will select first in the second round, giving them the 16th and 17th overall choices.
The order of the first round will be:
Los Angeles D-Fenders
Austin Toros
Maine Red Claws
Sioux Falls Skyforce
Texas Legends
Iowa Energy (to Bakersfield)
Erie BayHawks
Bakersfield Jam
Idaho Stampede (to Erie)
Fort Wayne Mad Ants
Tulsa 66ers
Dakota Wizards
Reno Bighorns (to Bakersfield)
Rio Grande Valley Vipers
Canton
Springfield Armor (to Tulsa)

Is the NBDL season canceled too? If not, select Kobe, D-Fenders!
in his only start of the season for the utah jazz tinsley had 9pts 6rebs and 13ast with 2stls agains the warriors in 34min. other than that he didnt really play. he only played in 12 games with the jazz before he got cut, i think we should bring him in on a 10 day contract if we dont make any trades or sign arenas
