Hoping for the best with the "beast", andrew bynum

my worst fear happened earlier in the game against memphis. Andrew "the beast" bynum landed on odom's foot (you always manage to mess up this team LO), and turned his knee. There were reports that he turned his ankle and his knee. Some reports say its only the knee. but there hasn't been an official statement from the lakers, other than x rays were negative and he is scheduled to have an MRI tomorrrow, so he will definitely miss the game against seattle. There were also reports in some sites that bynum went out and talked to reporters after the game....

Lets hope that he will heal fast.

After MRI tests and an examination by team doctor Steve Lombardo of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Group earlier today, it has been determined that Lakers center Andrew Bynum suffered a subluxation of the patella and a bone bruise of his left knee in last night’s game. Bynum is expected to be out a minimum of eight weeks. Bynum is expected to make a full recovery.

Bynum suffered the injury with 8:52 remaining in the third quarter of last night’s 100-99 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Bynum, in his third year in the NBA, is averaging 13.1 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.1 blocked shots per game.

8 weeks is a long time, but it could have been a lot worse!!!

I think Andrew Bynum will be back before the eight weeks. He is young and will heal faster then an older player. Not only that, but he is eager to get back on the court.

please dont call him the beast...that one's reserved for turiaf, can't have two on the team. besides, Bybums game isn't even beastly. It's kind of magestic with a soft touch.
