Who's Your Favorite Non-Laker Player in the Bubble Playoffs

Lakers Forum » NBA News and Rumors and Basketball Talk

Some of y'all might not remember me, but my old username was Mamba1024 (Rest in Power, Black Mamba) back around 2012 and previous to that. So, hello again to those of you who were on here before and are still here now. To those of you who have never met me, hello!

My favorite non-Laker in the Bubble right now is probably Nikola Jokic with Jamal Murray as a close-second. That could change as I pay more attention to the Celtics-Heat series, and more specifically on the Heat and their amazing roster of players.

Jamal Murray has got to be in the conversation for best PG in the NBA for what he has done in these playoffs, although I still got Curry and Lillard ahead of him.

Jokic though...man I don't know if I have ever seen a more unathletic superstar. But he has tremendous, yet unorthodox skill, and isn't a complete liability on defense. His ability to facilitate from the post, off-the-dribble, off the short-roll, on fast-breaks, full-court heaves, and can still punish slow-footed centers who don't close out on his high-release jumpshots.

Welcome back Addiction! If you want to reclaim your old account let me know! Jamal Murray has been very impressive. He's been as clutch of a player as any other I've seen in the bubble. Jokic is an amazingly fantastic passer with a unworldly touch for a big man. The Lakers are definitely doing a good job on them so far, especially Jokic.

Hey Dave! Nice to see you again. Hope you and your family are doing well.

I'm OK with using this account from now on, but thanks for offering to help!

Yeah Jokic like you said has an insanely soft touch. That putback/tip shot he made in Game 2 vs Lakers that put the Nuggets up 1 was an unbelievable play and put his ability and composure on full display.

Tyler Herro has also just been absolutely killing it as a rookie in his 1st playoff year. This kid has no fear and is in my eyes a future All-Star at the very least! The Heat have some special young talent with Herro and Bam.

Jerami Grant is playing some of the best defense in the Bubble. Just so long and athletic, and while inconsistent on offense, has shown pleasantly surprisingly decent shooting ability and touch around the basket.

100%! Herro plays like a experienced, talented big guards from Europe- exceptionally smart and skilled for his age. Amazing that he's only a rook. Grant has been a great find by Denver. So versatile as he can guard many different positions.

Jamal Murray is playing like the best guard in the NBA right now- kind of like a bigger, stronger Steph Curry.

Love this question, for myself I'd say it's a tie between Jamal Murray and Luka.

Tatum and Luka.

None lol

Jimmy Buckets!!
