IMO Since we are not signing any more Max players this summer, they can wait until next summer when Deng only has one year left, and then stretch out his contract with minimum impact over 3 years. They would still be able to sign two impact players, avoid having to trade any of the young stars to offload his contract, and keep any upcoming 1st round draft picks. We are not desperate here and now. As for having a couple of late 1st round draft picks, I can remember recently drafting a couple of future All Stars by the name of Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart late in the 1st Round. Assets baby Assets.
