B/R says NBA is investigating Lakers for tampering with PG13....What!!!!!!!!!
Do you think Magic is going to get in trouble?
Think it going to be hard to prove, since Randle and PG have same agent.
I could see their point with Magic being on Jimmy Kimmel and if he actually was traded to us but seems to me it's grasping at straws at this point since PG13 is a member of OKC. But oh well.
Fkn laker hate never gets old...smh. How about the Heat big three which was planned way ahead or the Lebron homecoming which was spilt by Stephen A Smith? CP3 being courted by Harden? Durant being in touch with the warriors and Draymond and other players? They were cool with that. Everybody's in touch with somebody in today's social media climate. Nothing new or scandalous tbh.
That mofo irrelevant Peter Vescey just found some ammunition to become relevant again. And the lousy Pacers looking for an investigation just to mask their front office failures: getting garbage returns for PG or they just saw Oladipo shooting bricks at practice....LMAO!!

Amen!!! Spot on. And what about the NBA "tampering" with us in the Chris Paul non-deal.?
Spit happens and the haters are lining up and taking numbers to dump on the Lakers when we start winning big. And that is likely THIS YEAR! Mark my words!
Apparently it's at the request of the Pacers. Hopefully it would probably just result in nothing or a fine at the most- never heard of a tampering case that went beyond a fine despite the potential to lose a draft pick, etc.

Facts!!!!!!!
Lmao....C'mon Skye, he's a longggg way from O.J.
Heard Ramona say on sportsnation that it is from draft night. 29 other teams called the Pacers about PG, lakers didn't !!!
Tampering happens all the time in the NBA, it's just not policed. But when a team files an official complaint, then the NBA has to act like they are taking it VERY seriously, and that they truly care when they actually don't. Lakers are willingly handing over everything, and Magic is taking smiling pictures in Italy. They're not worried about a tampering charge. lmao.
Yep on that jet ski.....lol.
Lmao !!!
That's not the point Pete. It's how the many influential people in sports and entertainment are utilized and not permitted to elevate to a point where they can become competitive on the ultra big stage. I happen to know for a fact that this is why these 'accidents' occur. Maybe O.J. does not belong on that list, but I trust you get the point.
Bird still in second place behind Magic... He quit his job to device his revenge. Stay tuned...

Players can actively recruit each other provided they don't offer financial incentives. The league turns a blind eye to it.
The t wolves lost 5 draft picks (later reduced to 3) when they tampered Joe Smith back in the day.
Where is magic going to get $3 billion from? Sure he could be part of a consortium, but he
would own 20% at best.
So unless I spell out the entire Articles of Incorporation and Legal Agreement
proposed, the statement is false? A 20% owner is an owner and yes he's linked to the
Guggenheim family and I predict that Jeanie will cave to the pressure of an Island
Resort all to herself with full time servants and twice a day foot massages...
within the next few years... ![]()
A fine and that's it ... nothing to see here
Shows only 1 thing. The Pacers are really pissed at the Lakers for some reason. First they gave PG away when they could have had a decent return from us. Simply to spite us, or to spite PG for wanting to come here and abandon ship. And if that wasn't bad enough, now looong after the fact (late whistle anyone?) they decide to bring this crap up? Mostly unlikely and false? And the league is taking it seriously? Talk about frivolous. Laker hate indeed. Or LA hate more specifically I believe.
If the league will again decides to intervene and grant the whinny owner of the Pacers the decision. I think in order to send a message to the league, they should boycott this season and let's see how this affects their ratings, jersey sales. Not boycott just float the idea to jolt the NBA, like an anonymous source, a rumor. Then the Lakers just plausibly deny the rumors after the NBA's damage control.
We're screwed. I predict a fine and a loss of a draft pick.
Well when people talk about the Lakers ownership they talk about the majority owners, the Buss family. I've never heard anyone talk about Soon-Shiong.
I didn't say what you said was false, just Magic will never be a majority owner of the Lakers barring a horrendous crash in NBA revenue which would have to wipe the Lakers valuation 500%.
They reported this in June when they found out what ever it is they reported to the league. It's only come to light in the media right now.
I don't know why people automatically assume it's Laker hating. The league must have saw something to warrant a full investigation. This is not the first time Magic has been saying stuff he is not supposed to say.
Now that's funny....lmao.
Probably not legal in any way to do that. But I like the idea lol

Except PG didn't end up here. So really, what's the point? Get the league to send him a warning letter, explaining what he's supposed to have done. Explain why it's verbotten, move on.
They got a terrible return on him, granted the gm didn't help in this but the point stands.
This is not the first time Magic has been involved in such a thing, he was told previously when he was ambassador or whatever role he had, to be careful what he said/wrote.
The league should make Magic suit up for 10 games, fine him and block the Lakes from trading Deng until the All Star break!
Turns out the damage is just a fine of $500k....lol
Good news! Just a measly 500K fine
.
We're not getting fined for Magic's comments so for what then? What a joke. ...
More than I make in 5 years. But yeah...not much lol
From what I've read so far. The NBA warned the Lakers after magics comments on TV about their behavior. Pelinka then talked with George's Agent. About what and exact dates, I'm not sure. But the investigation must have turned something up that was incriminating.
We got off easy!!! 😄
Well that was fun while it lasted..lol.
On another note wtf were the lakers thinking donating only $100k as part of the Houston victims relief fund? Individuals like Mutombo, Curry, Sandra Bullock and others donated much higher amounts.
What I don't get is that the law firm said that Pelinka had contact with George's agent Mintz. But, Mintz also represents Randle and D-Lo. Of course Pelinka has had contact with Mintz... he needed to tell him that D-Lo was being traded.
I think this was more or less a slap on the wrist and the NBA had to do something to placate the other teams even though this is thought of to be getting off very lightly and it is.

They most likely found emails and texts from Pelinka to Mintz talking about George. Which would be very careless on Pelinka's part. Read their statement, it sounds like they know they did something wrong.
I wonder if Mintz didn't sell the Lakers out as payback for Magic's "leadership" comments about Russell as he was headed out the door? Also, why wouldn't it be appropriate to contact an agent after you've submitted a legitimate trade proposal to assess their clients feelings on it. I'm sure this occurs all the time.

That D.bag pacer owner is now trying to scrape the bottom of the barrel. What an Azz wipe...lmao!!!
Dude just won't let it go, lol. Wonder what he's trying to accomplish.
If this ball club owner Simon wants to file charges in court, let him do it, it is his right anyway. This time around the scenario in a court hearing is different from the NBA investigation. Each and every evidence that will be presented will be questioned, and witnesses will likewise be subject to questioning by the defense. Who knows, Lakers might find itself clean in this court case and might use this to refund the penalty they paid to the league.
