Did you notice that the Lakers aren't listed for the 27th pick? It still listed as NJ's in the ticker and elsewhere. As soon as I noticed that when the draft began. It became clear that nothing is official yet. Whether that is a formality or whether the trade is contingent on other trades or whether it's just a rumor remains to be seen. That said, given that fact that every reliable news outlet has reported it, I doubt it's a rumor. Maybe there will be clarity when that pick comes up.
