Rumor: Lakers Could Be In Chris Paul Sweepstakes

Lakers Forum » Lakers Rumors

Quote:
As for the Clippers, Wojnarowski doesn’t see a scenario in which the club is able to bring back Griffin, Chris Paul, and J.J. Redick. And while Redick is probably the most likely of the three to change teams, Woj thinks there’s a “real chance” the Clippers would move on from from Paul if the two sides can’t come to a quick agreement when free agency begins. Wojnarowski names the Spurs, Heat, Lakers, and Rockets as teams that could get involved in the CP3 sweepstakes if the veteran point guard seriously considers leaving the Clips.

lol. Nah.......

I'd be fine with signing Paul. He can start over Ball for a couple of years if we draft him. He'd make us far more relevant in the meantime while we get older and hopefully everyone is developing.

Amen brotha......"Passe".

Now if he wants to go somewhere, he and LBJ can make plans to meet up in MIA along with Melo if Melo can get NY to buy him out.

They need to make sure they also bring along the banana boat with them for some south beach action. Lmao!!!

Watch out, they look like they might take a wrong turn and end up on the wrong coast. Lmao

Speaking of boats, looks like Clips are sailing off into the sunset.

Yeah I saw that....."The Quick Fix"......sometimes not good but it's all rumors for now and LBJ is good at leverage which I think he's pulling on Dan Gilbert. I don't like Dan Gilbert so I don't feel sorry for him.

Media speculation mostly. I just don't see the point in throwing a max deal to a player past his prime. Especially when he has done nothing with the clippers AND the warriors seem set for a dynasty.

F*ck the Clippers and f*ck Lebron

And looks like they are taking the logo along with them as well..lol.

Nah..maybe GSW, but certainly not us.

Plus we still have his son Ryan (future laker GM). Lol

I'm worried that he might try to take Ryan from us by trying to make him the GM for the Clippers

Not mad but sad ... The logo belongs in sc-cal but not for the other side. Dr.Buss is probably pissed off in the heavens right now but has 3 playboy models with him so he's good😎

This sucks ... the only way the Clips can be good again- keep CP3, get Bron , let Griffin walk , get another star to come , and get some shooters.

But if not , and CP3 / Griffin walk ... They don't have many good young assets. It will be a tougher rebuild .

Not really worried cause he didn't take him to GSW either. If he leaves so be it, in which case his heart was never here in the first place. We are in a much better place than we were few months ago. Looking forward to who we pick on 22nd. Lol.

Edit::::

Looks like you may be right....lol

lol I saw someone post a pic of LBJ in a Lakers uniform on instagram and asked "What if?" and everyone was cussing him out and saying F No!

If Magic and Rob make moves like Jim and Mitch then yes. But I don't see that happening. We have to trust the process and develop these young guys period and not mortgage our assets for a quick fix.

I can't even be mad if Ryan wants to join his father. What son wouldn't. At the end of the day, it all falls on Magic and Rob.....

lol I think most sons wouldn't want to work with their father if they can!

That depends, if your father is a stand up guy like Jerry West, yes......

Is that you....Sam Hinkie? LMFAO!!!!!

Definitely depends. That's why I said most.

That saddens me that the Clippers are going to the city of champions. I grew up in Inglewood with the Lakers being at the forum. I'd rather see the Lakers and their statues go to Inglewood.

What kills me about this is West reportedly wanted to return to the Lakers in an advisory role but was told they don't have room. Huh? Room for an advisor? Weirdly, all these past Lakers can somehow return to the team in different capacities but the one guy who is proven to know how to build a dynasty can't have room made for him in an advisory role.

Ummmm, no thank you....

Was watching Pardon the interruption earlier and Wilbon was asked that and No, No ,No. Like there's something there between him and Buss family, where there's no chance of them ever bringing him back.

I read an article a long time ago where one of the reasons West left was because Buss stuffed him out of some money owed for him getting Shaq.

I do think there is some sort of issue between them which is why the article I read surprised me that he wanted to come back to the Lakers

Don't see why we should be and not sure how I feel about the possibility of Ryan joining his pops. Doc should be the one who's worried.

Chris should leave the Clips for the Spurs. This is such a no brainer!
