Lmao!! Just like I said on the other thread there is no guarantee he signs an extension with the team he gets traded to. His agent even made that clear to the prospective suitors. This is not the end of the Boogie saga I suspect.
Instead of selling the farm (and eventually losing him a la Howard) like some were alluding to, we might just end up signing him in the off season of 2018.
Pels might be forced to do a sign and trade, or let him walk for nothing.

As long as he doesn't walk here. Arguably the best big in the league, but has he made Sacramento any better??? Guys a cancer, you don't trade a star for what they got, unless there's something wrong going on behind the scenes. Buyer beware!!!!!!
Him getting traded was the best thing for us. We can get him and not give up anything and still keep the main core. And the young guys will have more experience by then and we could be on the cusp .
Glad they did not make the deal with the Kings... Have to dump Moz and Deng for this to happen .

Yeah, get him and watch him tear team apart.

I agree he's a head case ... but I think he would help us win a lot of games. Especially if we keep some of the young guys.
And I don't believe that Windhorst story ... that Fat F*ck should just stick to following Lebron around and leave other NBA news to more credible reporters
If we were have traded for him , it would have guttted us. It was not worth it. But he's worth signing after next year .

I'll have to disagree right now Terry, but I'll wait and see what happens with Pels. If you'd asked me about him coming a couple of years ago, I would have been all in. But he hasn't helped Sacramento win a lot of games and in last couple of years, I'll I've heard from more people than Woj , is how bad a teammate he can be. Which brings up the question, will FA's want to play with him???
I felt how you did ... I would not trade for him ... but to get him as a free agent... I'm for it.
I think if we keep our pick his year. D-Lo gets traded and we bring in another All-Star type vet via trade.
Dudes a head case but he brings it every night .
You talk like you been around him. Do you know the situation he faced in sac with 7 coaches in 8 yrs? And an unstable front office to boot. "Buyer beware" is being slightly melodramatic

Yeah I think we are going after him in FA. I know he lost a lot of money but he can make it up with the Lakers.

Windhorst keeps l!cking lebron's a$$ and that was his daily diet, until he started eating fat burger when he moved to LA.
OK, Magic. That's fine, your entitled to your opinion, I have different one, at least right now. He has all the talent in the world, but is he worth the headache, as ALL REPORTS have suggested. Waiting to see how he does in New Orleans, than my opinion might change. Lol
One other thing, when he does become a FA at 28 , do you give him a max contract??? I'm asking

Yes, in a heartbeat and you don't think about it twice. Giving a 28 y/o superstar a 5 year deal is a no brainer. Lebron is 32 now - look at him go. Not everyone's is a washed up horse at 31 like Deng, who started playing at 18 and led the league in minutes per game a couple of seasons, and was in top 10 in minutes for the rest of his career before Lakers.
Boogie is not LBJ, and is he a superstar or just star? Because to me, a superstar should have more wins. But I wasn't asking if you give him contract, I was asking if you give him max and deal with the headache part of signing him. Either way it's 2 years away, so don't have to worry about it now.
It's 1 summer away actually - he becomes UFA after next season:

To answer your question - in my book, the best big man in the league is a superstar, not just a star. Team success is not a reflection of his individual talent. Kobe in 2004 barely squeezed Lakers into playoffs, and he still was a 25 y/o Kobe. The headache part is pure speculation - you don't know how he's gonna behave in new setting, with an icon like Magic being his boss and Luke as his coach. There is plenty of examples of players who had bad rep and completely turned it around 2nd part of their careers, after changing teams. See Latrell Sprewell, Ron Artest, etc.
All good points fellas re: Cousins. But remember we have Zu. And I get the feeling the team decided to give him a cple seasons to develop and if he gets much better Cousins will be an afterthought. If not they'll have assets and cap space and can take a run at him as a FA as you said. I think they didn't want (yet) to give up any promising youngsters when they might have what they need at the 5 already in place soon enough.
