Jordan Clarkson Vs. Bradley Beal

Lakers Forum » Lakers Multimedia

Pretty cool video. Before opening up the thread, i thought it was gonna be a "who would you rather have on your team?" thread. Beal looks like he has more meat on his bones but if Clarkson develops his 3 shot, I'd take him over Beal. Id take him over Beal right now anyway. Not to mention he plays more games than him.

As for the video, it really is true what a lot of people in the Laker organization have been saying about JC. Dude is a gym rat. Great to have a young player like that on the team.

I think Clarkson and Beal have very similar games. I think I would also take Clarkson over beal right now, due to his upside and the fact that beal is also always injured. I Have always said our baclcourt really reminds me of washingtons. I think ours could be better version, but I'm obviously biased towards our team lol

Great find man! Good to see JC working hard this offseason.

I didn't realize it at first when I saw the video but it hit me later on........................................... they were going to be teammates lol, thanks Washington:]

I think Clarkson will end up being the better player in comparison to Beal but I doubt it with Russell vs Wall. Even if Russell ends up being the real deal as well, Wall still beats him in defense and athleticism.

Maybe, but that remains to be seen. D'angelo could exceed expectations just as much as never living up to them. My hope is that he will be better than we think. He Is much bigger than Wall is so maybe that can negate his lack of athleticism, and maybe he will never be a great 1 on 1 defender, but if he commits, even a lackluster defender can learn to be a great team defender, and that is good enough for me.

I just can't see it personally but time will tell after Kobe retires. None of these young guys will fulfill their potential with Kobe still dressing up. We need to see these kids play under pressure and when games are on the line. Beal's game seems more complete to me. in Clarkson's defense, LA is trying him at pg and he isn't one.

Disagree, Clarkson has always played pg. Call me crazy, but I like him at pg and Russell at sg. If you watched that last summer league game, Russell had a break out game when he moved to sg. Think we'll see a lot of both of them switching between pg and sg this season.

At their size I think the position is interchangeable, its up to them to exploit the other deams defense/offense. They can probably switch on any play, although D'angelo is supposed to be a better 3 ball shooter.

Agree, just after watching Russell in college. Always thought he'd be better in NBA at the 2. Guess it will depend on the match up from night to night.

Russell can play the harden SG role..

The reason I feel he isn't is because he has a big scoring mentality, his ball handling isn't up to par for a pg and neither is his vision imo. His playmaking has improved but he's far better bring aggressive and trying to score
