New Post Markup Feature

Hey guys just want to let you know that I've added a new post markup feature that will add features to the text of some of your posts to make them pop out more. For instance, if you want to make a numbered list, all you have to do is type in, for example

Will show up as:

1. test
2. test
3. test

To make a bullet-ed list, simply use an asterisk (*) instead of a number in front of each item, which would create:

• test
• test
• test

To make a table (note that each line must have a pipe character, i.e. |):

would result in:

First Header | Second Header ------------- | ------------- Content Cell | Content Cell Content Cell | Content Cell

Pete- you need at least 2 rows, and divide by dashes- e.g.:

Tank | Anti-Tank | Unsure ------------ | ------------ | ---- 45 | 45 | 10

Dave, where is the icon at ?

^^TT- no need for an icon/button- you just type it out. For example, type 1. test, then press ENTER, then 2. test on the next line, and you will get:

1. test
2. test

Or type * Kobe, press ENTER, then type * Bryant, and you'd get:

• Kobe
• Bryant

For making a table, you'd type out the heading, then separate the columns by the pipe charater "|" (to the right of the ] key on the keyboard), and separate out rows with dashes, like this:

will become:

First Header | Second Header ------------- | ------------- Content Cell | Content Cell Content Cell | Content Cell

Preview is not going to show the new markups yet, but eventually I'll have it show it in preview as well. Just submit the post and you will see the result.

I was asking for the image icon...to post my famous gifs.. Lol... Can't find it ever since u changed the format awhile ago

Ah- just click on the Post Reply button (instead of using the quick reply box) and you have 2 options there- upload the pic or link to the pic. See the screen shot:

Or if you rather do it within quick reply, you have to manually type in the bbcode, e.g.:

Very good add. I tried to put up a post once using numbered lists and I'm sure you can imagine the result, lol. I scrapped it.

By the way, using dashes will work for regular unordered lists as well. Just do dash, space, then the first item, then ENTER, and then dash, space, second item, etc. E.g.
