Pau Gasol Lakers Offense Highlights 2012/2013

Lakers Forum » Lakers Multimedia

Here is a clip highlighting Pau's skillset. Watching this made me realize how spoiled us Laker fans are. The man can do it all on the basketball court!

Unfortunatly, Pau has aged and can't really do all that anymore..

To everyone who thinks Kobe was our problem last year needs to watch this... Half of his buckets are great passes from The Mamba!!

Isn't that just a highlight from last year? Did he age more than the rest of us or something?!

These are from last year.. Did you not notice Howard was in all these highlights?? C'mon now.....

He was done during the Dallas sweep. He is mentally and physically drained out! He needs to get into an environment where he would able to rekindle the passion for the sport.

Pau is ready for a revival. All of you doubters just wait and see.

Well... hightlights don't show the whole story.. Pau has aged and is softer then ever, and is in no way a guy who's going to lead us anywhere anymore... 13 ppg and 8 Rbpg is the true story, he's an average player right now... and with him and the cast of more role players/scrubs we have surrounded him with so far we are not making the playoffs, period...that's the truth most Laker fans don't want to look at.

Pau is a Center and had to play PF all season while sharing the paint with the best Center in the league.... AGAIN. If it's now Drew, it's Dwight taking his spot.

As I said, he's ageing as well... and has been getting softer by the year, and it's clear to anyone actually watching he's not going to lead us anywhere of significance... Maybe 8th seed and first round exit again... that's about it... Kobe's hurt, he may never be the same... so as I said, as much as I hate to say it, best thing would be to trade pau for young players or picks for the future.

look at where he started 90% of the plays in the highlights that included Howard in them.. From the elbow and sometimes even further out. He's a back to the basket center. He'll get his chance to be the #1 big man for the Lakers again.

That's why we can't trade him right now.. His stock is really low right now and we wouldn't get anything near his value in return. Just watch, pau will move back to his normal position and put up much better number. I see him around the 16/8/4 next year. If we aren't going anywhere as a team, that is when we should make a deal. With a reasurgence from Pau along with his expiring contract, he'll have a whole lot more value esspeacially to a contender

Not only is pau a center who was forced to play pf last year, but I'm not sure how many of you weekend warriors have TRIED to play rec ball with tendonitis in your good knee. Dude had tendonitis I'm both knees AND plantar fasciitis in his foot. I'm pretty sure 100

Percent of you guys with tendonitis in both of your knees would look ancient too. I still say that I've played ball since I was five, and I've NEVER seen a player's game deteriorate like Paus game from the Olympics to last season. It's virtually impossible to go from hands down the best center on the world stage to seemingly the worst in the nba. Injuries had a lot to do with his poor play last year.

I'm not saying that he's where he was when he first got here. But he's had the surgeries, had time to heal physically and mentally, and he just might be at his natural spot this year. I'll reserve judgement.

I just wish he would Bulk-up a bit. Can't help but feel that doing so would improve his game to a healthy degree.

Pau will finally be the focal point in the post.he has all the room to prove himself again.

To quote The Dude; "Hey, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man."

I don't agree with you on this one, no matter how many times you repeat yourself.

Pau needs to do what Duncan did and slim down. I think Duncan lost about 10-15 pounds. He looks rejuvenated. Duncan looks more mobile and quicker on defense. That's what Pau needs.

Pau needs to slim down??? Shouldn't it be the other way around? He already is slim enough and slimming down even more will do no good to him at all.

gotta agree on that one... but if he decides to slim down. i do think will be less injuries and he will be faster in his knees. but if he gets buffer, he will be stronger. i think he needs to balance it.....just do the right way.

Slimming down doesn't necessarily mean getting weaker. Duncan and Kobe did and its added years to his career. You can skim down and still maintain strength, or get even stronger. It's a matter of changing your workouts. It would help Pau To get leaner while increasing strength. He will be much lighter in his feet, his knees won't suffer so much, and his career will last longer.

At what point has Pau ever been strong?? On that note does any one know how Mr. Softie's rehab is going?

Pau Gasol is a gentleman. I am so happy we still have him. Imagine if we traded him and Dwight left, we would have been up a river without a paddle. What's even more intriguing is that I think he will be a better fit in dantoni's system now.
