Repped (+1)

here's a thing about smith: he have defense, dunks, age, upgrade on sf spot but limited offense.

if he willing to sign and trade with the lakers for 10 million, send away peace (7 million) and player, or sign him for 10 million or something close to it and trade peace and gasol BUT I doubt it, unless he willing to play less for the lakers lol

A BIG NO to Josh Smith... NO...

My guess

CP3- Clippers or Knicks

Dwight- Lakers or Rockets

Jennings- Mavs

Josh Smith- Mavs or Rockets

OJ Mayo- Mavs, Bulls or Pacers

Iggy- Nuggets, Hawks or Cavs

Bynum- Sixers, Hawks or Rockets

CP3 to the Knicks?? For what? The vets minimum?? lol

Sign and trade. They can make it happen someway, somehow.

Doesn't the Knicks have 2 max deals?

Uh, no they can't.. S&T aren't allowed for teams over the cap... It's more likely that CP3 will end up with us then with the Knicks.

YOU ARE HERE: HOME / NEWS / LAKERS RUMORS: TEAM’S ‘PLAN A’ NOW REPORTEDLY KEEPING PAU GASOL Lakers Rumors: Team’s ‘Plan A’ Now Reportedly Keeping Pau Gasol By Daniel Buerge| May 4, 2013| Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Spor The possibility of bringing back this season’s Lakers, who saw fire and rain, made it to the playoffs and lasted four games, is no longer merely one of the team’s options, but Plan A, said a source with knowledge of the discussions. However, the caveat in the plan assumes the team can re-sign Dwight Howard, who will become a free agent on July 1. "- How well do....

From what I read next year is going to be a throw away year but Lakers don't want to come out & say it. But the whole roster is off the books after next year so the Lakers can reload then. Lakers should at least make it fun, LA should trade Hill,Andrew & Pau for Pierce and Garrnett. Boston wants them off the books andGarrnett wants to stay with Pierce. Everyone wins LA stays interesting Boston can start to rebuild. Lakers would be old for 1 year & blow up the team after.

by Andrew you mean Goudelock, right?

Funny how throughout the season, everyone considered the big 3 for the lakers Dwight, Kobe and, Nash when in reality, Pau brought more to the table then Nash did.

^ i always considered the Howard-Gasol and Kobe as the lethal than what Nash could give. he is a role player now at best , not a starting caliber PG.

i'd love to see him in lakers uniform, either coming off the bench or playing the C spot when we go small

Find a way to get him here using any name besides Kobe Bryant. I bet he tries getting to NYK some how

I think we should use our mini-mid level on Dorrel Wright & try to get Kyle Korver with a vet minimum contract. If not Korver than Anthony Morrow or Marco Bellineli..

I don't see a reason why we would get Kaman..

But Daniel Gibson would be a good pickup..

& if Pau does stay than it would like..

Nash / Blake

Bryant / Korver (or Bellineli)

Wright / MWP

Gasol / Clark

Howard / Hill

Francisco Gracia? Really? I'm sure even with the limited cap space we can come with someone better than him

Exactly what I had but no Korver. Doubt he comes here for the vets minimum.

Guys we should aim at are

Nick Young, Gibson or Belinneli as a backup for Kobe and if we go small

Dorell Wright, Corey Brewer or Martell Webster at the 3.

Nash/ Blake

Kobe/ Gibson or Nick Young

Wright or Webster/ Metta

Gasol/ Clark

Dwight/ Hill

Wright for the vets minimum

Gibson or Young for the mini mid level

Would only amnesty Metta if we can bring in a solid SF. Rather keep him on the bench or maybe package him in a trade w Meeks to a team like the T Wolves for maybe a Derrick Williams.

I think we need more of a defensive 3 starting over Wright, maybe Wesley Johnson

I like... When need a young SF who can guard.... Someone who can make life hard on the Kevin Durants of the world

After watching some of the teams in this years playoffs, I think it's definitely time for the Lakers to get younger. The Warriors are so fun to watch. The Bulls look fantastic too. The Bulls aren't as young as the Warriors mind you, but Robinson is quick as hell. Butler is tough, and their defense is tops in the league. After watching the playoffs, besides the Spurs, the Lakers look so damn old...

Agree... Plenty if talented young players... Just gotta find the right fit

Don't count out the Pacers as a trading partner. Especially if we can't fish in any FA.

Lakers, Pelicans and Pacers

Lakers: Granger and Ryan Anderson

Pelicans: Gasol and George Hill

Pacers: Eric Gordon,Vasquez, Meeks and Jordan Hill

There's no way I would give up gasol and Jordan hill for granger and Anderson. First off, granger is damaged goods now, pacers should've traded him when they had the chance.

Co-sign... Plus I don't see them trading George Hill after trading Collison last year

Look if you're hellbent on trading gasol, there's only 2 possibilities IMO: Atlanta or Utah. The guys that I really want out of the roster is Meeks and Duhon. Duhon is a possible late off-season trade bait for a TPE and a future 2nd rd pick (for teams trying to meet minimum salary cap). Meeks is on Team Option, I say LAL shouldn't pick it up. Who here has seen a 3pt specialist who can't hack it in the regular season as much as Meeks? Com'on, how is 36% career 3pt FG% a specialty?
