D-League Rules

-> You can send a maximum of 2 players to the D-League.

-> The player must be under 25.

-> They must be on IR - if you need a roster space for it then you must sign a FA to do so, otherwise you cannot send the player down.

-> No star players - this is to develop young players.

-> Players sent must have less than 2 years of experience.

-> Players may not be a LOTTERY selection in any draft year.

-> Players that were previous D-League Season MVP, Playoffs MVP, or Defensive Player of the Year cannot be sent down.

when can we start sending players to the d-league?

Are we starting this before season 3?

I think this starts in season 3.

this sounds good to me.. but so much for putting my whole team in the d-league

If u put them in the D-league, it means they cannot play for the Pacers.

If they are recalled, it would defeat the purpose of sending them there in the 1st place. I don't know?..

Well, In the regular D-League, you can assign players down to play for there respective D-League teams and recall them when necessary. Say I assign Eric Maynor and 2 days later Nash goes down with a broken nose. I could then RECALL Eric Maynor back to my roster. There is a max assignment number of 3 assignments per season, per player.

yeah it works out well.. i get to put my good ole friend joe ingles and kemp in d-league . watch them develop more..but here's my question.. do we have to make claims for their new found stats? or is it automatically added?

I assume they will have to be claimed, just as I am assuming there development, will depend on how long they are in the D-League.

Unless some team can afford to send its mid-pick down to the D-league, Austin Daye looks like the best player in that crop.
