Waivers Rules
It's a temporary status for players who are released by their team. A player released between Day 1 and the end of the regular season stays on waivers for 24 hours. During the waiver period other teams may claim a waived player. If more than one team tries to claim the player, the team with the worst record gets him. If a player on waivers is claimed, the new team acquires his existing contract and pays the remainder of his salary.
If no one claims the team that cut the players contract will go toward the cut salaries.
Everyone released from days 1-120 will go on waivers, GMs are responsible for placing those players on waivers when released.
When Picking up a player:
If the player waived has a salary thats 15+ Million, only teams that are under the cap (have money) may sign them. For example, If a team has 2 Million dollars, and a player for 17 Million dollars is waived, the team with 2 Million still may get them because they are still under the cap.
