New automatic Duplicate News/Topic checking feature

Hey guys- in order to combat the rash of duplicate news topics I've implemented a new feature that will automatically check for similar topics in the same forum. So if you post something with a topic name that looks similar to an existing one, the site will show a message saying that similar topic(s) already exist. It will also show you the list of the similar topic names. If you still think the news/topic you're posting is not a dupe, you can override the warning and go ahead and post the message.

Another thing I'd like you guys to watch is the posting of Laker News in non-news forums, and vice versa. Please be sure that the topic you're posting is started located in the correct forum!

Great idea as usual Dave. I've posted articles before only to realise they were already there so that should help a lot.

That’s great, because last week I thought I was posting in a section that was a dupe. I did this a few times, getting confused when I didn’t see my posts on it. Hey, we are only human.

it works pretty well. i think we should merge all the power ranking threads tho. those still kinda clutter it up every once in a while.

I love this idea Dave! And the Picture Resize Tool! I'm always the one who post duplicate.

Okay I've turned off this feature for members who have over 1000 posts to speed up the posting of new topics by vets.

Thank you Dave. That is a good idea. It will be good for the newbies and the veterans should already be smart enough to know if there was a topic posted.

Okay I fixed the problem where some of you were having problems having to keep hitting submit multiple times and still not be able to post a topic. Now you should just be able to hit Submit once to bypass. Let me know if any of you are still having issues with this- thanks guys!
