"Big" dreams - not "Kidd" dreams

Although I have respect for J. Kidd, I do not think trading away so many pieces and picks for a guy this old makes any sense. I've watched every Laker game this year and the present and the future looks bright for our PG position. All this being said it also makes no sense to trade a "big" and some other guys for a PG. And I'm also sick of every trade scenario that comes our way most members to this sight think we can trade in used blown out tires for a brand new set and some rims. It's rediculous. That being said - I know we need a PF. We could use a SF as well, and I suggest we not look for all stars we look for solid players with upside, of course I'd love to get stars for these positions, but not at the expense of trading away our future to match salary- so why not look at a few guys rumored to be on the trading block 1) C. Villenueva- I couldn't believe the Raptors let him go - He's a 6'11" guy who can shoot the 3 and has enough bulk to play down low. For his career he averages 12/6/74%FT/45%FG in just 26 minutes. LO career averages 16/9/71%FT/45% FG BUT in 37 minutes If Villenueva played 37 he'd average 17/8 which is pretty much the same- but Villenueva only makes 2.7mil. We basically get the same guy as LO but I believe Charlie can be more consistent. He's rumored to be available and for what price ? I'd give them Mihm and a 1st for him considering we've been pretty successful in the draft as of late, plus we get rid of an often injured player, and they get an expiring contract, and I don't think our....

He's on the Bucks now as part of the T.J. Ford trade, I was shocked though because he was there second leading scorer last year when they traded him- so we're talking the bucks ridding him now- He's been rumored to be dealt since they drafted Yi-and plus the Bucks suck and need some payroll help. Villenueva will be due and extension after next season.

charlie is on the block only because the PF position doesn't allow for him to get more minutes, as Yi JianLian will be filling that spot for awhile.

We need a forward. Odom is not the guy. If we can get someone that is half the player of a Worthy or a Baylor, we would be lucky. Last nights game came down to Odom and he could not deliver. I'm not talking about the last shot, I'm talking about his lack of aggresive play. He plays well at times, but not what is needed in a 82 plus game season. I hear Gasol is available.
