With potential rival suitors cooling off, the path looks clearer for the Lakers to retain Rui Hachimura. His ability to provide consistent scoring off the bench or as a starter remains a key component of the current rotation. While the front office has options, keeping a player with his specific skill set is often easier than finding a replacement on the open market. Does his recent stability make him an untouchable piece for the upcoming season?

Lakers need Rui. He has been pretty consistent on his three point shooting from the corner. I wish he was better at defense, but over all he is pretty good.

Rui has been an assassin- with Kennard gone it's a no brainer to resign him. Not sure the cap situation but he's easily worth 3 years $36 mil or in that neighborhood.

Him or Kuminga are fine by me, but they should probably jump on either of them quickly before both are no longer available and we are throwing Dalton out there as a starter. I do have a feeling that Dalton is going to have an explosive season though.

A confident Dalton yes, but if he is harassed or not liked by a coach, then if I was him I would try my best to leave the Lakers. There is nothing worse then for a supervisor or in this case a coach to dislike you. But I am like Angelus, if Dalton is played with regular minutes he would get better and better with confidence. He actually has a beautiful shot, but he is human and if the coach does not like him. He has to go some where else.

I would like for the Lakers to resign Rui. He has size and can shoot from the corners with consistency. Kuminga is another who would be nice in a Laker uniform.
