Lakers at Warriors Game Day 2026-04-09
Lakers Forum » Lakers Game DayThis does not make any sense to me where they say that Luka can not play because of a hamstring injury. YET I just read on a article on MSN that he was spotted in Madrid signing autographs. Now to me it does not make any sense, because if he can not play the next three games which are critical for the Lakers standing, he should be here in Los Angeles getting treatment, not in Madrid.
I predict that the Warriors will win because Curry, Podziemski, Horford, Moody, Payton II, and the old man Draymond Green will all be playing, while our Lakers are purposively injured and one is in Madrid, Spain according to reports.
A hammy injury usually is pretty serious, but I think you can still be able to walk fairly normally if it's grade 1. I could be wrong but thought his injury is more severe than grade 1, so it is interesting that apparently he's walking around no problem signing autographs?
Saw an article which said that LeBron will not be competing against Steph this season. We know Steph is out but perhaps LeBron is too?
Timme had 10 points in the first quarter last game and then 1 for the final three quarters.
Ayton allegedly cannot catch passes according to JJ but what I detect is that he does not move without the ball and is therefore never ready for passes.
Both of these random details are coaching details; fundamentals that these players somehow never learned. At this stage, it's a JJ coaching deficiency and continues to reflect that he does not know how to coach players who are not guards, just like Steve Kerr. JJ thinks removing reward (playing time) is the means to motivate, but that does not work on some players. Vando, for example, finally confronted JJ during the last game on the sidelines with a 'what the heck do I have to do to get some PT', and JJ dismissed it as meaningless. He will lose his team if he keeps that up... He treats the media the same way with his drop the Mike departures. It's not impressive at all. He comes off as an entitled brat, the same behavior as Luka on occasion.
Vando is a superb defender. If and when they trade him, the front office will be whining about the lack of perimeter defense and all the rest. The Lakers front office and coaching staff are apparently narcissistic and they cannot see the players through the trees.
I think the Lakers turned the ball over about fourteen times in the first half, they are lucky they are up by four at the half.
I do not like Bronny as a starting point guard, I think I would use either Smith or Bufkin. They can handle the ball better, and are better at shooting the ball. Bronny is coming along, but his passes are a lot to be desired.
But if the Lakers can cut down on the turn overs the second half and keep playing tough defense, they might pull out an upset tonight. I was not giving them a chance if Curry would have played, but since he didn't and they keep playing aggressive, they have a chance of winning this game.
Lebron has been big- a pair of terrific drives to start the 4th, and the Lakers now up 88-73!
Lakers doing a good job anticipating GS plays- rips the ball away inside, and Lebron two giant steps to the hoop for the power slam!
Kennard drills his first triple from up top, and that's pretty much game as Lakers lead by 22 with 7 minutes to go.
Finally the Lakers stopped turning the ball over so many times the second half and they ended winning big. I also liked the way JJ confronted the players that were messing in their game, like Ayton he played good once he made sure he would catch the ball. Vando had a better attitude then in most games, and I am glad he gave Smith Jr some playing time. He played really good hitting several three point shots.
Ayton who had a very good game gets the interview in the Prime post game show.
