What are your predictions? Which Laker need step up this game?

Lakers have been playing really good lately. I guess they are taking preparation for the playoffs serious and LeBron knows that this might be his last chance to get another championship. So I will say it again, IF the Lakers play defense through four quarters, they should have a good chance of beating this team. Take the ball away from Kevin Durant, double him or what ever it takes. Let him pass the ball to some other player.

Ayton will have to control Sengun, he can be tough.

Lakers get stomped tonight.

I can feel it in my bones.

The Rockets are a different team than the Lakers have been playing lately and chances are their stars are not going to go 1 for 14 like Murray did the other night.

Lakers must show up with defense in mind and that's not their pedigree.

Reaves and Doncic get their 30, but it's not enough...

If Shen Goon does not play, that will give the Lakers a fighting chance...

Skyeword might be right. This team has the Lakers number and they beat the Lakers by twenty points last time they met, but Reaves was injured and was not playing then. Reaves is back!

After that dive, I wonder if LeBron is playing.

He put a picture of the massive friction burn on Twitter....

Laker offense is not good tonight. I think Labron has only a couple of points, Ayton has zero, Hayes zero. So they are down by six at the half. Rockets are a dangerous team, but I thought the Lakers would have played better. Too many turn overs by the Lakers.

Luka with a big time triple- should've been a reckless closeout foul too on Eason. Lakers have turned things around with an excellent 3rd Q.

Lakers clutch once again down the stretch after Houston tied it with 3 minutes to go. Ayton with some key plays. Smart, like last game, with a huge triple as well.

Finally Ayton woke up with two minutes to play and scored like seven points to put the Lakers in good position to win the game.

But the Laker defense in the fourth quarter was awesome again. They doubled Durant and forced him to make several mistakes.'

Great win by the Lakers. Now lets do it again to the Rockets. This Rocket team has always been like a thorn to the Lakers.

Glad to be wrong about this one...

This suggests the Lakers have found their higher gear and are running with it.

I fell asleep for the second half and was very surprised at the score.

A very low scoring 4th quarter seems to have been the difference.

Axle mentions 4th quarter defense which is interesting given that 4th quarter offense has been a strength in the earlier part of the season. I wonder what is inspiring these changes?

KD only scores 2 points in the second half.

Given what happened to Murray, I'm gonna say defense.

Where is this magical defense coming from? A team effort?

I don’t know, but it’s not something that you just pick up on over night. Something finally clicked and I am glad it did. Maybe they finally realized that a good defensive effort will win games. I remember a game where they don’t score in the first 6 minutes but their defense was extraordinary. They ended up winning that game and things turned around after that. I don’t want to say much else because I don’t want to jinx it. Good win.

Actually the player that has inspired the Lakers to play hard defense is Smart. He is an amazing defensive player, and will surprise many when all of a sudden he starts hitting some three point shots also.
