Lakers Trade Gabe Vincent for Luke Kennard

Lakers Forum » Lakers News

Don’t worry guys, we traded a 2nd rounder and Gabe To ATL for Luke Kennard. Who’s Kennard you ask? No one knows. Apparently a sharpshooter to help beach shooting woes. Riiiiiiggghhht. Didn’t we get a sharpshooter by the name of Muscala one time? He was suppose to come and shoot the lights out? I’ll believe it when I see it. They should have figured out a way to dump both Gabe and Dalton. Dalton wants off the team and honestly, I’m tired of watching him sulk up and down the court WHEN he plays (you know, when we are up by 40 and it’s time to throw in Bronny and Dalton). I suppose I’d be bummed too if every time I head out on the court with Bronny, the away teams fans cheer for Bronny like he’s best player in the building. I actually find it funny but it probably pisses Dalton off.

Kennard is a 9 year vet. Not much on the defesive end, but is shooting 50% from 3 this year (49.7 actually) and has never shot below 43% for his career. Doesn't help with our main problem, but should be useful off the bench.

Kennard is a very good shooter. He used to be with the Clippers at one time. He is an improvement over Gabe.

Good trade- Kennard is not known for defense but is one of the best shooters in the league. He can do some playmaking as well.

Wanted Ziare williams and dayron Sharpe, but will take Kennard. At least we got rid of Vincent. Hopefully we get rid of more of dead weight on the bench. Bronny - come on waste of a roster spot, Maxi -offers nothing, Get Bufkin more minutes now.

Hmmm, a white guard from Duke who is a strong shooter.

I wonder who that reminds me of?

It's a parallel move basicalaly given the defense that Gabe provided...

Unimpressive imo.

The trade was worth it so i don't have to see vincent anymore. Get Bufkin minutes

Like I posted before, this eight games will show the Lakers how they stand in this league, and tonight against the Sixers the Lakers have looked terrible to say the least. Turn over after turn over, and our super star Luka always when he is not doing good because the Sixers are doubling him, he finds a way to get out. Right away he starts cringing about some kind of injury. Seen it too many times.

Not taking away anything from the Sixers their defense the first half has been fantastic. Laker defense not so good.

Ayton vs Embiid is no comparison. Embiid is a very good player, his offense is second to none. Ayton tonight is sleep walking.

Does not look good for the Lakers tonight, unless a miracle happens on the second half. We need Rui and LaRavia to step up their game. So far they have scored two points each. Not a good half for them.

Kannard is a very good offensive player, but the Lakers need some defense, not more offense.

It was amazing that the Lakers pulled this game out by finally playing some defense in the fourth quarter. Reaves was simply awesome scoring something like 35 points.

LeBron made some stupid passes tonight which almost cost the game.

Even though the Lakers managed to win this game, the Lakers were very lucky too many turn overs
