Jarron Cumberland will never see an NBA game. I think they just signed him on a ten day contract but will probably be used just for practice on preseason games. He is 28 years old, so I do not give him much hope. I believe they have like twenty plus players that will be trying out, but you and I know they will cut down to around fourteen player roster once it gets close to the regular season.
But I do agree with you on letting Olivari go to another team. Maybe it was because of his height, but then again Bronny is not much taller. So!
I am looking forward for the season to start. I think preseason starts around the 3rd of October.
And Lakers waive Cumberland, after 1 day, and add two more players, an unknown guard and a forward, while waiving Eric Dixon.
Dixon is a 6'-8" 3 point sharp shooter. A big Michael Redd. He led the nation in scoring last season.
Somebody please explain the mentality? He's 24 and there are some defensive concerns? Luka is 26 and there are many defensive concerns.
The erratic decision making is making me crazy....
On a positive note, Tevian Jones looks impressive in highlights.
He's a 6'-7" guard with excellent offensive versatility.
He's an unknown from Canada...
There's a wildcard in the front office.
I'm wondering if it's JJ Reddick himself?
He said, "I'm the sort of person who will have an hour and a half conversation with ChatGPT."
There'e hard work and devotion, but then there's obsession and paranoia.
Paying attention to basketball for many years, I have noticed that coaches who were former players generally do not know what to do with players who play different positions than themselves.
The best example is Steve Kerr who sat Tatum during most of the Olympics and who is destroying Kuminga's career by keeping him on the bench similarly.
JJ needs forwards and outside of the rookie Thiero, he cannot seem to decide what to do with the current roster.
Thomas Bryant is still a free agent. He'll give ya' 10-8 and super high energy in 15 minutes, but there seems to be no consideration of Bryant either.
Why are the Lakers not going hard after either Kuminga or Bryant? These are tested players who fill gaps in the roster.
What the heck is the thinking? Who is intervening with roster dynamics? Reddick?
People whom are intensely intellectual cannot perceive their own bias and blindspots.
What made Phil Jackson great was his legendary combination of strategy and intution. Reddick has zero intution it seems...
Bryant used to be a Laker, but he asked to go some other team. Now I was watching the video of Divian Jones and man he looks impressive on his shooting abilities.
