Though I think a LeBron, not necessarily Bronny trade to Cleveland would be smart, if a trade is inevitable, the players coming back to LA from Dallas would be beneficial too. A three way trade including Dallas is would include PJ Washington, Gafford and Ayton leaving the lakers in a more than more than decent resolution of the center problem.
Lots of LeBron Trade Talk
Lakers Forum » Lakers General DiscussionsLuka signed a 3-year 165mil contract extension. Too lazy to post a thread.
Definitely a good idea to trade Lebron and build around Luka instead. Might be able to get some good future assets and of course more complimentary players around Luka.
Trading to Golden State to include Kuminga, or Cleveland to include an array of options that would still leave their playoff team intact, seems like the most obvious full circle trade of all.
LeBron wants to be the center of attention moving through his retirement, and the only teams willing to do that will be Los Angeles (maybe) and Cleveland.
I don't think the Playoff Cavs have much interest in that. I don't think the 'Luka's Lakers' want to limit the focus upon Doncic to achieve what LeBron wants either.
I'm remembering Kobe's final season and how they were terrible given the focus upon Kobe. Management Is not going to do that again...
LeBron is not going any where for the coming season. He is just trying to bait the Lakers on giving him a Max contract. It would be the biggest mistake ever made since the Westbrook trade.
LeBron has a no trade clause and that is why the Lakers have not traded him. But I would like to see him go just because of his age, and let Bronny go with him. It would really give the Lakers Mucho dinero so they could really get some top players to surround LuKa Doncic.
I think what he has already stated is true. He wants to be celebrated in the same manner as Kobe in his final year.
How and why would the Lakers do that (Literally lose games to say 'Yeah LeBron'), given the rebuilding circumstances?
Why would any other team do this either, except for perhaps Cleveland?
His best chance at another championship is to go home to Cleveland whom are contenders without him.
This would land the Lakers with at least two very solid players while keeping Cleveland's big 3 intact (although Allen might be part of that deal).
This would boost their ticket sales and make them an even greater championship contender.
It would also be a full circle moment for his incredible career.
He is no longer the center of the Lakers' team and he's susceptible to a catastrophic injury at his age looms ominously.
It's a win-win if he leaves for Cleveland only. Every other scenario in merely sentimental including San Antonio, Dallas and Golden State.
