Adou Thiero - Roy - Heard It Here FIrst

Lakers Forum » Lakers General Discussions

This kid is an intense super athlete.

He reminds me of Cam Whitmore from the Rockets who has been floated as being available. Hint Hint front office...

I trust the Lakers have enough sense to bring back Oliveri. Imagine him with Whitmore and Thiero on the second team!

However it breaks down, how did Thiero last until the second round? He has no weaknesses... other than a fixable jumpshot.

Yea, this young man picked by the Lakers is 6'6" tall and at around 210 lbs. Everything I have read is that he is a very physical player according to his former college coach Calipari. Seems like he will be another good pick by the Lakers.

I hope the Lakers do not fall for the trap of signing Chris Paul. I have been reading where he wants to get on with the Lakers or Clippers. But if they signed Chris Paul the Lakers would have to let Reaves go and that would not be a smart move. Chris is Old hitting now age 40 and has always had a ham string problem. We do not need Chris Paul. Why does it seems like the old guys always want to come to the Lakers. We need young athletic young legs just like OKC is.

I understand that Adou has an injured knee and unfortunately will not be playing in the Summer League...

I never liked Chris Paul. He's a dirty player.

With the never ending rumors about LeBron being traded, let's assume a PG will come back from some trade... Perhaps Garland from Cleveland...

The Lakers were better with AD and Austin...

Austin is often a side note given the slow pace and ball dominance of Luka. Perhaps that will change as well this season.

I do not think LeBron will leave because of his big contract. Nobody manager from any other team is dumb enough to take on such a big contract on a 41 year old athlete. What he is trying to do is to try and get the Lakers to give him an extension of another year added to this one, but the Lakers have not bitten and I hope they don't. This is LeBron's last season. Luka is a pure shooter and will play much better this season. Last season he was way out of shape. ....

I agree but he remains a Big Ticket in most cities and even if only for one year, I imagine a few cities would capitalize on it, especially Cleveland. Dallas has already said they would do it if the Lakers bought him out first. Would LeBron be willing? Help the Lakers and then leave? I'm not sure that he's willing to play second fiddle, despite claiming that he's fine with the focus upon Luka. When in the history of the world did any King abdicate before they died. King George in England due to humiliation as I recall. It's....

Windhorst ought to be called Windbag. He relies on his experience and says very little that translates to reality.

The Lakers need some better roster balance yes. There's a copy Summer League players will be make the team. Eric Dixon is one of them.

Trading Reaves or Knecht would be stupid, but Vando and Milton and perhaps Vincent could return a single player who could impact. Who that is right now I do not know,

They must grab Oliveri. He was excellent and he meets all of the criteria they are looking for at this time (youth, fast, scoring, respectable defense), and he's dirt cheap.

Jonathan Kuminga and Cam Thomas are still out there unsigned too!

If LeBron is going to leave and get bought out, then he must be forced somehow to do it soon and not hold the Lakers hostage...

Even if LeBron took half his salary, that would still give the Lakers a bag of cash to work with.
