Christian Wood 'n Stuff

Lakers Forum » Lakers News

It's strange that nobody in the league wanted this guy. I read that he is not so great in the locker room. It was well known that he was not getting along with the coaching staff due to lack of use, which likely fueled his frustrations and comments.

Having said that, picking up a 20-10 player this late in the off-season is an exceptional roster addition, especially one that can play the 5 and allow AD to play the 4 along with a very good shooting % from the 3. I prefer Wood over Jaxson Hayes 8 days a week and expect that he will be the starter if not straight away, shortly into the season. Alternatively, pairing Wood, Vando and Rui on the second team might work very well too. Hayes looks out of control to me most of the time and his defense is, in my mind, unimpressive. Some people expect him to start. I'm not one of those people...

Russell, Reaves, James, Davis and Wood...

Vincent, Christie, Reddish, Prince and Vanderbilt...

Find a way to add Alex Caruso as the 15th player to round off a championship potential team..

For those doubt D-Russ, he led the league in 3 point shooting percentage during the last 4 months of last season. Crazy surprising right? He's a very meticulous and deliberate player so when he'f off, it's very pronounced and memorable, but the fact is that he's on most of the time as his stats reveal.

Just don't think it will matter. Everything hinges on Davis and he's just not reliable. If MPJ for Denver takes the next step, they will win again. Just my 2 cents.

Even if he flopped, he scored 16ppg last season in limited playing time. For the Lakers, it will force bigs out of the paint to cover him where the Lakers' offensive strengths can take advantage of the additional space.

I can't disagree regarding Denver as well Murray is now playing with a chip on his shoulder and wants to be in the All Star and MVP conversations who also intends to step things up.

Turns out that Coach Ham was rigorously pursuing Wood on his own. He called him every day of Free Agency.

That leaves Hayes on the bench and frustrated while some confusedly felt that he might be a starter.

I think Hayes is a bit of a headcase. He's got a lot of ego and not enough horse power to back it up.... Happy to be wrong as usual, but he's reactionary rather than effective and I figure will not factor much next season or into the Lakers' future. He's the sort of player who will end up in Europe after his second contract runs out. Dwight Howard makes much more sense to me as a filler...

The player nobody is talking much about it Prince. He is an excellent back-up wing that will help the Lakers a great deal moving forward.
