Lakers Sign Christian Wood to 2 Year Deal

Welcome Christian Wood to the team!! He signed a 2 year vet minimum deal with player option for second year. Like him or not, this is a low risk but possible HIGH reward! I like his stretch big option next to AD for a possible 2 big lineup. I don’t think they bring him in without laying down the lay of what they expect from him. He knows that he has to prove he can be a team guy or else he can kiss his career goodbye. I’m excited to see what he can do with some good vet leaders around him.

Nice signing! I do wonder how much the salary is, but if I had to guess it's probably a bargain. Athletic big who can hit some 3's too- look forward to see how he meshes with the squad.

He signed a 2 year vet minimum deal. So for his years of experience the vet minimum comes in at 2.7 million for this year and then next year is a player option for vet minimum at 3 million. Odds are he won’t stay on for next year though. He’s looking to show what he can do this year to get a payday somewhere else next year. We potentially will have a starting 5 that could go 5 wide and all shoot 3’s. I think Lebron could be used a lot more in the block this year and spread the rest on the perimeter.
