David Stern Was a Thug

Wow I never thought of that angle. The Feds tied in with the NBA (in that case NFL also) to 'watch out for the bed elements'. So Stern was a white supremist also (I'd use another word there, but not in mixed company lol)? Wanted to control them 'uppity n**gas'? Sheeesh. Well I always hated that guy (Stern). Now we find out there's many more reasons to have held disdain for the man. Not just for robbing us of CP3. Question is, is Silver any better? They're cut from the same cultural cloth, as it were. I know you know what I'm talking about Sky.

It appears that everyday folks are taking note of the intentions and shocking interventions of the CCP within the USA during the past 40-50 years, as well their extremely silent partners, impacting the future of the USA at the speed of growing grass. With this in mind, I'm very pleased to see the Lakers dump Wish, a scam company with the worst garbage money can buy and then break the same day, in favor of BIBIGO, a Korean Food Company, as a sponsor. Looking back, and given the hoards of American politicians, CEOs, judges, police chiefs and lawyers on the CCP payroll, was Stern 'influenced' in his push for NBA representation in China? Perhaps we'll never know... I think 'Fed' is a speculation by Melo, but by what other means would Stern know his crew's names and addresses and why would they know? Plenty of other more notorious players worthy of this sort of scrutiny earlier in Stern's career.

Really, they dumped Wish? Finally.

Moral of the tale. Never let lawyers run sports leagues (or anything else). At least he's dead so we don't have to see his ugly mug anymore.

What he did to the Timberworlves was unbelievable. It's arguable they are still recovering today given the DNA of the franchise was decimated and subsequent years had to build around the wreckage. The Chris Paul interference is a close second especially given that he was the interim coach for the Pelicans at the time! That's arguably the most egregious tampering ever in the history of the sport.

There's no statute of limitation on that right? I say let's charge him post mortam, and hang him for his crimes. Problem was he was the 'owner's' best friend and made them all lots of money. That's all they cared about. But the NBAPA should have had something to say about it all. One could argue the point that the Pels never fully recovered either. The package we offered was better than the other they were forced to accept. Even tho Del at the time was pissed and preferred the Lakers trade that he initiated. Stern said he wasn't authorized....

Good question, but leave the body alone or you will be haunted. Smile Stripping the reputation would be more effective. I'm sure the majority of the people in the NBA over the last decade would agree with your assessment and I certainly agree with any slam against Senor Cupchak? He's apparently capable in the boardroom but useless in reality, so he ought to be a professor rather than a president of operations of an NBA team. Are the Deng and Mozgov contracts not worthy of a ban from all future negotiations? Arenas explanation seems legit. Bear in mind Stern was seeking to establish the NBA in China, so he became intolerant of ANYTHING that would interfere with that objective including a dominant team that would preclude China and likely Europe too from integrating. Mediocrity in other words was good for business in that context as well a league that was tired of Lakers' super teams. It's easy to assume that there were financial incentives as well. Given what we know about China today, Stern was probably on the CCP payroll which then points to larger players and the desire to control the market share of LA Sports by keeping the value of the Lakers franchise down! I agree that the league would have grown anyway, given the CBA and the player's influence too so what better way to create an affordable asset than to knock the Lakers out for a decade and hand Chris Paul to the then hapless Clippers? The details fit the presumption. I know you are not a fan of Bynum, but the faulty trade derailed his momentum from which he also never recovered. I've accused Magic of likely having silent partners that are not good for the league or the....

It appears no one else is interested in this topic, other than you and me skye lol.

As a rule, most prefer not to speak about the dead...

From my perspective, truth in history demands it...

So don't mention Stalin then? Lol

Daaaayum, you mean that Russian tyrant with the Jewish mother?

Did he play basketball?

Ooopsss...shhhhh!

"We recently found some documents in the St. Petersberg National Museum which describe a less than desirable time in Russian History. We'll be sending them back to their 'rightful owners'."

Is Adam Silver intending to create an NBA expansion team there?

You know you are a lonely boy when you accidentally quote yourself...

Haha.

I am sure there are eventual plans for worldwide NBA domination. Remember that movie Rollerball?
