was in this country. Not sure how he has done playing in China last two years. But he is
another 31 year old player.
I can't believe why the Lakers are stacking up on old players. Are they going to blow up
the team again if they do not win a championship.
Why stockpile centers? There are already some concerns about Dwight and Jordan
getting significant pt.
Throwing shyt at the wall to see what sticks...lol.

They just don't get it. They need shooters. Not more bigs. Sheeesh. We have a cple of guys
who can hit the 3 ball, tho we shall see how that goes. But no one who can do it in volume.
Since they f'd up and didn't get Sweet Lou, as I many times "strongly
suggested"

The only thing that I can think is that they are planning on using him as a PF, considering
that he plays both the 5 and the 4. The other thing that I thought of, was that this is an
attempt to reduce minutes for both Dwight and Jordan. I honestly don't know who they
are planning on starting. I have read several predictions, which all have Dwight
starting. Look, if they are seeking another center, sign Cousins over Faried or
just get another shooter. I think the team is what it is at this point. Don't take that
the wrong way. I am excited.
Here is what I think..
1.) JJ Reddick
2.) Svi Mykhailiuk (By the way, the whole time I was bashing him, I thought we were
talking about Muscala. My bad.)
On a side note, what ever happened to Dante Exum? That dude is available, but I was
looking at his numbers.... Wasn't he suppose to be legit?

Reddick made $13mill/yr the past 3 years. He's not coming for Vet Min. Otherwise I'm sure
he'd be here already. He also said he's not in a hurry and will wait til mid season to
play again, til someone who needs him and is willing to pay comes a knockin'.
Otherwise he'd be somewhere already. There's only 5 players on the Lakers roster
right now who are making over vet min.
I thought we could raise our cap this offseason btw? What happened to that
idea?

Avery Bradley
Jeff Teauge
D. Cousins
That's all I got. We could always leave the spot available for any waived player
later.

You left off Ennis. Odd that Bradley hasn't been picked up tho. Tenacious D! And Cousins
as well. Maybe teams know something we don't.
I was thinking the only thing missing from our old folks team is D Wade! To complete the
Lebron fantasy team

We did raise our Cap Space this year, however we gave it all to Westbrook. We are at
164mil in cap right now. Salary Cap is only 112mil. We actually have the 4th highest
payroll this season.

Impressed with no description means filler. Imagine if Collision or Thomas had been
selected. Frustration all season. The assumption is that the signing is a reward
while in this case he takes the role of Dudley or Sacre on the cheap. Vogel’s
rotation will probably be 8-10 players so even Rondo has been told he’s not
gonna play!

Seems like an odd signing. But no one saw him play. So who knows. Plus Lakers have a weird
thing of liking cheap unsigned players. Hoping to scrounge the bargain bin for a
nugget. Like at a yard sale. For a player who by their own admission is 3 years away
from being NBA ready, who's already 23. Does it make sense? No. Maybe they just
needed a guy for the G League team? Maybe he did some favor for someone we'll never
know about? Maybe they needed a token white guy to replace Caruso? Who can
say.

Maybe he and LiAngelo can team up and play for LaMelo's team in LIthuania when the obvious
comes home to roost.
JJ Reddick would probably play another year sitting on the end of the bench to get a
ring.
You can't teach quickness and Reaves looks slow at the college
level...
If LeBron likes him, it's likely because he knows he'll step aside and let LBJ run the
point, while Westbrook probably won't.
It doesn't matter either way. He's gonna be handing out cheers, towels and Gatoraid,
but I do wish it made sense.

Refuses to drive leading to bad shot selection and no perimeter defense.
Not NBA ready for 3 years in his own words you say?
How about never gonna be ready....
Here's 3 minutes of terrible...
Have you ever seen a highlight video focused upon someone who missed every
shot?

LOL
Players like the other Austin, Austin Rivers, and Patrick Beverly, often get targeted for
underperforming at the NBA level, in part by Westbrook no doubt. Reaves is a
training camp invite at best comparitively.
Unless some sort of transformation occurs where he suddenly can retain his dribble and
create a shot inside of 35 feet, against players who are stronger, faster and
playing for money, he's a sloth, a koala or a panda in the crosshairs of every team's
backcourt who will salivate at the thought of his defense.
Tenacious defense is what brought Caruso out of the G League to which he added non
Caucasian-like hops (LOL) and exceptional basketball IQ / decision making. Maybe
Reaves can channel the other Reaves, Christopher Reaves, and surprise us all, but
if all he is is an attempt to rekindle fan sentiment like Caruso, shame on Pelinka for
even going there mentally, let alone actually.
Perhaps a similar player, Atlanta's Kevin Huerter, is 2 inches taller and is an exceptional
3 point shooter with balanced skills. He was dubbed the Red Mamba for his ahooting,
intensity and well roundedness. Huerter's predicted upside blows Reaves away and
it translated as such to the NBA.
Speaking of Caruso, keep an eye on Chicago this year... He makes teams and players better and
is not considered part of the top four players including Vecuvic, DeRozan, Ball and
Lavine.
The league is gonna regret not taking Bol Bol. Denver obviously saw the potential.
Would have been a perfect addition for the Lakers. He's a legit fan favorite, he's
huuuuungry and inexpensive for now, he's not expecting big minutes yet and he can
give you 16/10/3 blocks in the blink of an eye including 3 pointers... Hindsight is
2020, but there were some obvious better choices for roster spot
#14.

Hands down Lakers will take the championship this season. The big difference will be RW,
he can penetrate, rebound and assist and shoot from the perimeter. The BIG THREE can
create a lot of spacing and with shooters like Anthony, Ellington, Nun and Monk
makes this team hard to defend.
What every happened to the 7-foot Chinese player? Wang I think his name
was?

Avery Bradley just got waived by golden state. Maybe we should pick him
up.

RW and Rondo plus Bradley would be a backlog even though it’s a good idea. Young
Reaves is proving to be surprisingly adept at the 1 as well. And then there’s
LeBron who’s the PG any time he touches the ball, AB would be a bench
warmer.
I think the Lakers need speed at the wing. Chaundey Brown seems well suited to take
Ayayi’s two way contact and could probably play that role. He can bring about
8/4 per game in limited playing time plus perimeter defense which is lost with the
injuries currently. He’s a three point threat!

I'd do it.
Btw 6 pre season loses, only one was a little bit close, the last one with the Kings. The
others were blow outs. Are we concerned?
So Ariza had debridement surgery on his ankle. Did the Lakers not give him a physical
when they signed him? Now he's out 2 months. I can see why they signed Avery. Tho I
would have liked the idea anyways. So are we a wing short now? ABrad is a
guard.

Even the writers could not figure out the logic.
With Ariza out, doesn't Chaundee Brown make perfect sense?
Haven't seen any games yet. And don't know much about Chaundee. But from his highlight reel
and rep, I'd have to agree with you.

Ayton and PHX not getting anywhere on max contract. Might he be available next offseason
as a FA? Might we come a knockin'?
