If not him then hire someone else, but there has to be a shooting coach on the team. This is not a mom and pop operation.

Which is why using small sample sizes as a comparison is not viable. Another example of that was Ingram with LBJ and without, discussed on another thread. Once LBJ got injured, Ingram didn't become a superstar like the stats were saying he could, by comparing per 36.
Compare KCP's numbers from last season where he shot 42.2%, 36.8% from 3 and 89.2% at the line to where he is now 43.6%, 38.8% and 89.3% according to the shooting coach.
There is no doubt an improvement but realistically KCP was in a slump early in the season and has regressed to his form from last year at a very slightly higher level.
As for a shooting coach need, I don't even know how they don't have one. How can one of the storied franchises in the NBA not have state of the art everything?! The analytics and medical departments have been the laughing stock of the league for how long?

For sure- those are some things that can be a detriment not to have. Hiring the best available personnel to help the players reach their potential should be a priority.

They'd be great. Also Del Curry who's a broadcaster right now- maybe hiring him might help get Klay to come over.
