For those who thought that Lance was some sort of Joker who wouldn't take his life in La La Land seriously, think again. I was shocked to see the not only transformed but transfigured Lance Stephenson in the videos below. He already look ready to go and camp is still 6 weeks away. He is displaying a new body with obvious improved upper body strength and a nice 3 point shot. Check this out.

He’s always been talented. Most people just interpret his bad rep as “bad player”. Dude can play, and was a borderline all star in his first stint in Indiana. With that being said, workouts don’t mean much, KCP was draining everything in his workouts but was a chucker in game. Excited to see what the newbies bring though
KCP shot 43% from the field and 38% from 3. It was his best year yet, and those averages are better than his career numbers. So..............Maybe he wasn't chucking up as many bad shots as you thought. Kobe's career numbers were 45% but only 32% from the 3. Lance's career numbers are 45% and 30% from the 3, so it is great to see him making progress this summer on this 3 point shooting. Lebron will either be penetrating to finish, or penetrating to dish. Better be ready standing on the 3 point line and ready to strike.
Practice doesn't translate to NBA games with some players. Metta world peace, Sasha "the machine" Vujacic are two prime examples that we have witnessed first hand.
Stephenson hasn't been much of a success anywhere but in Indiana so I'm reluctant to believe he will be a success with the Lakers. I would love to be proved wrong, he is in his prime and playing for his next contract so it's possible he can be a good acquisition.
KCP was most definitely a chucker. It wasn’t until towards the end of the season he started to let the game come to him and he started playing and shooting very well. I’m just saying, it’s easy to be a killer when there’s no pressure and no one guarding your shots. Like I said though I like Lance a lot and I’m excited for the season
Always been a fan of Lance's talent. If he can get his head back between his ears he may vindicate himself yet. And while it's true his shooting in the video is not the same as in a game. At least it does show he has the range and accuracy available. Let's hope it can translate well under pressure. I suppose the idea is that guys like him will be sleepers on the perimeter. If it's the case the game plan is to collapse the D around LBJ (which btw is contrary to anything we've done with Luke so far, so will involve a total revamping of their system), the guys like Lance might be left open, since you can't cover everyone and double James. Until he proves he can be a threat from range. And if we have 3-4 capable guys like that, and the concept works, then it could be interesting. It will hinge on the D imo. Even if it works on O. Will we be like HOU and try just outscore everyone?
Btw anyone else glad to see D'Antoni lose again in the playoffs? His record is perfect lol. Always strong regular season teams that choke or flounder in the po's when pressured.
Here's another random question. Would Nash have been better off if he'd stayed in Dallas? I don't know why that one popped into my head. But it did, so I'm putting it out there lol.
