Lebron’s Mural Vandalized by Goons

Lakers Forum » Lakers General Discussions
https://twitter.com/yahoosports/status/1016096167040552960 We still have those who resent Lebron coming to the lakers, as it might potentially (in their primitive minds) tarnish the legacy of the reptilian deity they idolize. After years of striking out on free agents and after a succession of Stars who showed us the finger, we have the greatest player ever, betting on himself and taking a chance on a borderline mediocre franchise. We have Magic Johnson (the greatest laker) grinding away and busting his behind to make us relevant again. Then you have these fkn neadrathals with the iq of donkeys, exhibiting their tribal....

I love the bronsexual's claims that James coming to LA does anything to Kobe's "legacy". I don't mean you Magiclakez, but the people that made up this idiotic narrative. I've never heard anybody say anything about that. Most Lakers fans just hate James. He's this generation's Celtics. To whoever ruined that mural I say cheers! That should show the goons painting LBJ murals in LA!

By that definition those who grew up watching the showtime lakers, should have refused to emabrace Shaq, kobe, BI, Ball and host of other players who followed.

James never even had a rivalry with kobe. They never even met in the finals. He is chasing bigger goals. This hate for James only percolates from kobestans. Don't mean you JJCali, but the turds who conceptualized that shallow notion.

Any player who wears purple and gold and goes to war for us I’m gonna salute them.

Idiots

Plain and simply put......EXPECTED. I honestly have a feeling that's only the beginning. We shall see.

Hey guys, I know I don’t usually respond here as much as I used to, or typically don’t because this site is my main source for information of signings, trades, and anything lakers related. I’m a die hard lakers fan, since I was born on ‘91. Grew up watching and admiring Kobe and the lakers win 5 championships throughout my lifetime. I just have a message for those who aren’t okay with LeBron now signing with lakers, I was you once. At first before free agency started, I was not approving LeBron to come to LA. I figured he would be....

Well, it was bound to happen. I mean c'mon. Did Kobe or Shaq or Magic have huge murals painted on the sides of buildings before they even joined the team? Did they have billboards like we gave to DH12? Did you see the LBJ HUGE egoistic banner in CLE all those years? Showing the "King"? It was pathetic. They put this guy on a pedestal and idolized him. I'm all for good players coming to town. But no they don't get their own painting on the side of a building, imo. It's pathetic idolotry, as LA has been the past several years. Will they do the same for Melo, or KL, or Lillard, or whichever other 'star' comes to town? Or was it just reserved for "The self proclaimed King". The size of his ego knows no bounds, and that's why I hate the guy. I'm not saying I favor vandalism. But I do get it. Tho it's doubtful the vandle-izers had such thoughts in mind. Or perhaps they did. As I say, I get it. After a player is done, years later, when the legacy has been cemented, you retire a number and put up a statue if you want. Ok. But this other crap is nothing but massive PR BS. Sadly it works on the 'masses'. But as we all know, the masses are asses, and sheeple. So, was I happy the guy got a painting (and by a graffiti artist at that...classic LA) before he even signed his contract? Nope. Am I kinda secretly happy someone ruined it...can't say I'm not. It has nothing to do with basketball. Just play "King" James and let your legacy do the talking, if you have one. Stop with this BS. Coz let's face it, you KNOW James and his team were....

I don't support any of that childish behavior. I understand that there are some who would rather see LBJ anywhere else but here, but this is not the way to go about expressing those views. I'd like to ask these idiots who vandalized this wall who they would rather have painted up there. Chucky Atkins? LBJ is a Laker now. As Laker fans, I feel that we should support him as much as we can.

That’s a long Rant for a painting on a wall ... not that serious Shepherd.I highly doubt Bron and his people were in charge of getting that painted on a wall - u can’t be serious

All he has to do is bring a ring to L.A and the vandalism will stop. Winning trumps all in sports

I don't support the childish behavior of painting the mural.

LOL...

I’m sad he left Cleveland, but again I’m happy for him. He’s finally going to play under a good system/ coach, has great young talent around him, and the Lakers front office actually know what they’re doing, respect to the Lakers.

The mural is completely gone now. Wow!

Like Pete said, I guess it was to be expected. Think if he wins a title here (he won't) people will really start to accept him here.

Seems like the painter painted over it himself? Can't get that straight. Maybe there was too much negativity for the store it was painted on. So to avoid problems they had to remove it?

Or maybe he's the culprit.....

Think it said someone threw some paint over it again, then he decided to just cover it all up.

Wrong part of town anyways. DT would be better for that kind of thing. Somewhere near Staples. Or maybe Hollywood, who all worship at the feet of stars anyways...
