Dwight is a better starting option than Zubac or McGee...
I don't think I will ever get over how he screwed us a few years back. Honestly, I would personally pass on him but understand how some would argue bringing him back. We are somewhat weak in that position. Now if he goes to the warriors, I'll **** lose it...
His past history with Orlando, LA, and Houston should warrant a hard swerve from us. Dude doesn’t have any right to act the way he did and come back to US like nothing happened simply cause we got LeBron. But I get why some would want him. Whatever happens happens I suppose
Man please....pass.
Setting aside pride and ego (which doesn’t accomplish anything anyways) that’s a pretty good consolation for missing out on and countering Cousins. Howard and Lebron share a good rapport. Howard was quite good last season. I’m on board either ways.
I’m hoping we sign him. Fills a big need.
Mosgov wants to come back to the Lakes also
Well, to give credit. The mess created with Jim & Mitch were squashed overnight by Magic & Co. lol with the exception of Ingram, all players from Jim Buss were all but gone. LOL
Might as well add him to the “1yr deal Misfits”
Let the reality show begin lol
Please stop the insanity. Re-sign Brook Lopez.
After the Lakers let Boogie slip through their fingers while they were sleeping, I look around and wondered how we were going to fill our biggest hole, in the middle. I looked around the league and didn't see any saviors. So we need a Big. It is either Brook or take a chance on Dwight. Hek, we have thrown money at other guys with as many question marks behind their names as Howard. So............if we can't get Brook, and we don't sign Dwight, then who?
17ppg. 12rpg, 56%, 20.5PER. And all of those numbers are right at his career numbers. No drop off.
No one was going to risk with Boogie with that Injury being reported that he will be playing around January still. in Short, he will be a big body who would be playing for playoffs. though, he has still time to adjust going forward before the playoffs starts.
I slept on this issue. I think he would fill a huge void. His rebounding and defense at the rim would help out significantly. Not that anyone is listening to me, but I am all for this. I am willing to let the past go for the benefit of the team. Sign him up!!!
Brook Lopez or Dwight Howard...... Go!
lopez over coward anyday lol

Well Lopez it is. Lol.
lmao good for lakers and i am pretty sure lakers didn't offer coward shzz
So wait a minute, John Wall, Bradley Beal and Howard are going to play together?...Lmao!!!!….Can't wait to see how that works.
He left the lakers before so fk no to coward

I hear what your saying, but we are in a difficult spot here. He is one of the better choices in reference to available big men. I am willing to get over it for one season until the younger DeMarcus Cousins is healthy again. Boggie deserves another chance and I think we should give him that.
Faried anyone?
Dwight Howard said that he is better then Cousins and can easily beat him in a 1on1 game. He is wondering why the Lakes did pick him up instead of Cousins from the get go. He believes that he will be the reason the Lakes win another championship and is the superstar the team needs to punch them over the finishline
Why the f*ck did the idiots who run this team give away a legit center in Zubbie? Explain the illogic, please.
Because Magic Johnson is a **** idiot and should distance himself from the entirety of the organization. Everything he touches, outside of the basketball within his glory days, turns toxic.
I know that some will not like this, but I'd prefer a Zubac backing up McGee. After Zubac, it would go with Howard, Noah, and Faried, in that order. They are working out Spieghts? Who the f is that?
Zubac suxed! I never could see why anybody like this guy. He was slow on running back on fast breaks. I saw only one good game he had and some in this forum fell in love with him. I would rather take Gortat, Faried, Howard over Zubac. About the only good thing about Zubac was that he was young and was a likable person. But NO as a Laker center.
Only problem with Faried is he is only 6'8" tall. He is really not a center, he is more of a power forward or even small forward. Gortat in my opinion If he is healthy is better then Howard. Howard already screwed the Lakers once. Not sure if I would trust him anymore. I do not forget the BS he pulled on the Lakers when he was here in LA.

6'8" is not bad in today's game. The game is much smaller than it used to be. I still think we should just sign Howard and call it a day. Hell, maybe we will get Cousins back around playoff time. I'm hoping for that anyway...
Interview with Jaken Rose regarding replace.
I'm sorry, but isn't Rose a huge Laker hater? Also, his argument makes no sense. Howard is better, so pick Noah because Howard isn't a 12 min guy? It's not like teams are lining up to sign Howard. Seems like, according to Rose, Howard is the best option. He just doesn't explain it that way.
I agree that Jalen Rose has never liked the Lakers, BUT this is the way I would rate them.
We will start with Howard. If I recall Howard was terrible on the free throw line. He was inconsistent when he was with the Lakers. One good game, two bad games. He is only a dunker. He can be good at defending the painted area IF it is one of them days where he feels like playing.
Gortat has the size, can score from anywhere and is a good defender. Under rated in the nba for sure.
Speight is not all that good on defense, but man he can sure light up the score board. He is a very good shooter. More of a power forward then a center.
Faried: He not a center, but if the Lakers wanted to play small ball, then he could help their. He definite not a center, he is a power forward that can play. This guy is a prolific defender and can score. He has always played good ball in my opinion. Always gives it 100%. But he would have problems with big centers.
Why are so many calling for Lopez? He signed an extension with Milwaukee. Or did I miss something? Faried is too small. He's shorter than Jared or LeBron or AD. So no on him as center. Speights is being tried out. haven't heard they're checking out Gortat. Of if he's even available. If so, why not.
Then someone says DH12 was signed by the Wizards, but I can't find any word of that actually happening. According to that article, he's still coming here for a try out. Among others. I don't even see that Howard was bought out yet.
I agree Howard's free throw shooting is a problem. But isn't Speights a liability on D? And he can't rebound!
