We all remember the Nadir of a once great franchise. It started with billboards for Dwight Howard and ended with some screwball hollywood pitch for Aldridge that was so sickening and infantile it actually drove him to sign with the Spurs who talked, you know, basketball with him. So now Mitch and Jim are gone and one would hope those great big brains behind those plastic smiles that are forever glued to Magic and Pelinkas faces could actually woo serious players with serious discussions. But no, those two clowns and left over baby doll Jeannie came up with this genius plan to....

I read that so called pitch. To me it sounds more like a welcome card than a pitch. Something they might use for a commercial of sorts if he is signed. That said, who knows, maybe the source wasn’t actually LAL and perhaps it was written by a rival trying to make the Lakers look stupid. I mean, what are they going to do, email it to him? Something just doesn’t add up and I highly doubt this is any sort of a pitch to woo him into signing with the team. He has to make his decision in the next few days (I am sure he already made his decision) and it’s not like we have seen this air on TV or the radio yet and they aren’t sending him Hallmark greeting cards..

Sports Illustrated is a very very reputable outlet of information. They are not like Joe's Blog site. They have sources and check them. They take their reporting and reputation very seriously and have earned the reputation they have over six decades. I believe it.

That script is one of the corniest things I have ever read. Odds are it was leaked, but I’m hoping they put this out there on purpose just to gauge public opinion. If not they still have a ton of learning to do.

I don't recall any NBA player not even Lebron having a 3 episode special about his FA. This is what he wants evidently.

Do we even truly know this was a part of a pitch from us? This could of been leaked in a way to make us look bad. I am just saying don't believe everything you hear. Like I said it depends on the source. I trust Sports Illustrated for good reason. They have been a top dog in sports journalism for over sixty years and have a top flight rep that they earned over that time.

I would say that George's plan to make this a three part video event shows he's ready for Hollywood and his move to the Lakers, lol. Then Lebron should follow suit.
