I honestly don't think you need to wait for the trade deadline to see that we could use a better defender than Lou Williams at the guard position of that Randle isn't a significant three point threat.

Funny you should say that about Lou, this player might be our backup sg next season.

They make a good point. If he's quick enough to guard the position, regardless of wing span. Can he move laterally well, can he slide over without fouling, can he move his feet well and take charges etc? All that the position requires. I guess we'll find out in training camp. And either Luke will end up showing his reliance on past systems and get stuck, or he will be willing to experiment with modern looks. I suspect he'll lean heavily on Shaw for advice as well. And Shaw's rep isn't exactly stellar as a coach. He's a bit old school himself. It's a puzzle and we'll see how the pieces fit together.

if Ingram is our backup SG, the questions are:

1) what will Lou Williams be ?

2) who will be our backup SF?

Generally, I do not like the idea so much. I am not sure whether Ingram has had that perimeter offensive game in range so far and if he is quick enough to defend explosive SG players

Go for it kiddo!!!!!!

Think Ingram will be both sg/sf backup. Gets more mins that way.

I guess they didn't pay Deng all that money just to mentor...lmao!!!!!!!!......But I'd luv to see the kid at SG at times.
