Is NFL Stadium and Team (Rams) Heading to LA?

It has been a strange phenomenon that Los Angeles, the second biggest city in the country has not had an NFL franchise for years. Once the home of the Rams and later the Raiders, the City of Angels sits desolate now in regard to America's most popular sport. But maybe, just maybe, there may be a plan afoot to change that by making LA's old NFL team their new NFL team. Hello Rams? Speaking as someone not even in the country, even I find it strange that Los Angeles, one of the biggest markets in the world, doesn't have a NFL team. I guess being a Lakers fan and not really following the NFL much, if a team did move to LA I'd probably start rooting for them just to go along with the Lakers. I actually read an article on ESPN yesterday by Arash Markazi about bringing the Rams back to LA ( http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nfl/story/_/id/10399975/bring-rams-home-los-angeles ) and, my complete lack of knowledge in the subject not withstanding, it seems like the Rams were a big part of LA back in the day so bringing them back would be pretty cool.

It is strange. But then, those fans were not the most rabid. I mean they really didn't seem to care all that much when the Rams left, not like say Cleveland fans who went nuts when they fled to Baltimore. Those fans seemed kind of laid back and lackadaisical. Yet still, one would think the NFL would push hard to have a team in the second largest city in America.

I find it interesting how you are attached to all teams LA. Especially when there are so many great choices to pick from if one wants to start to follow the NFL and be a fan of a particular team. None of those choices ends with Rams, lol.

It seems like there is always a new team associated with LA every offseason. Last year it was the Vikings, then the Raiders, then the Jags, then the Raiders, then the Chargers...then the Raiders lol. I kind of feel like the Raiders will eventually return to LA now that Uncle Al has passed on, even though I'd prefer to keep them in Oakland due to their die hard fanbase. Having the Rams return would be pretty cool, and I wouldn't have to drive 100 miles to San Diego just to see an NFL football game live.

LA just seems too soft to be a football town...hey at least we have the LA Kiss!
