You are thinking with a linear mind. Fans are looking past this season, they're wanting
their Laker franchise to thrive, to be great for years. How about you? You have a
different philosophy when it comes to being a fan, you don't agree with fans who want
the Lakers to get a great draft prospect.
In all actuality, let's flip it. You're the fan who doesn't make sense. You want us to
lose the lottery. Why wouldn't you cheer for the Lakers to win? Most of us are rooting
for the Lakers to win the lottery. If I was a player, I wouldn't want to play on a team
full of short-sighted fans like yourself who wants the team to just be mediocre for
years on end.
I don't want to say that I think I'm a better fan, but honestly. If someone cheers
against their own team every game, I have a hard time even acknowledging them as a fan
of the team at all. If I'm being completely honest.
If you just want the team to lose lose lose so they can get a better position for the draft
lottery. I would say you are a fan of your own need to have the team be what you think
they should be. I don't see it as that much different then the people who latch onto
bandwagons when a team is doing really well. I mean, you might as well just follow
another team if you're going to cheer against your own.
I love the Lakers, I enjoy watching them play. I want them to play hard, I want them to
develop some young talent and try to hang onto them. If they get a high draft pick,
that would be awesome, of course. But I refuse to cheer against them, cheer for them
to lose games, just so they can achieve it. And I don't understand or support that
mentality.
I think I'll just go back to not posting again, though. Probably better for all
involved, so this will be my last post on the issue. If I offended anyone over the last
couple of days, I sincerely apologize.
