Kobe told me his wrist is actually healing while he plays. Says he'll be fine way before the playoffs. More in column later.

I definitely shows.

He doesn't even seem to be favoring it at all any more. I hoped him not sitting out wouldn't be an issue come playoff time. That's great news.

Knowing Kobe he might just say that to keep reporters from asking him about it. I hope it's healing though. It's downright scary how lost this team looks right now without Kobe &/or Pau (especially Kobe) on the court right now. I guess at least Brown was fearless in experimenting on the road @ the Jazz tonight. They gotta learn sometime.

Good news.

Thats great news that stuff from germany must of helped alot. Kobe keep doing what u do and i know forsure he'll get his 6th ring soon.

Does this mean he will shoot better? If not, then it doesn't matter. He kinda played more efficient with it hurt.

Kobe did not have any procedures done on his wrist. Just wrapped it and kept playing.

Kobe Bryant told me after Lakers practice on Wednesday the torn ligament in his right wrist is completely behind him.

“I got through it,” Bryant said.

When I asked him if he would use the term “healed,” Bryant said: “Yes.”

Bryant said he stopped using the pregame injection that would numb the wrist to pain two games ago in Utah on Saturday night. He then played in Philadelphia on Monday night without the supportive tape he has used all season on the wrist. Without the tape, Bryant can return to his usual shooting mechanics with full follow-through, which is particularly helpful to him on 3-pointers.

“I’ve got more flexibility on the shot,” Bryant said.

Bryant managed to be the NBA Western Conference Player of the Month for December and January, though the Lakers are only 14-11. Now they have Bryant, whose troublesome right knee is improved this season, feeling stronger and are about to get added stability from the return of guard Steve Blake from his rib injury.

“I experimented with no injection in Utah, and the next game felt completely fine,” Bryant said. “So, no tape, no injection. I’m good.”

Bryant injured the wrist in the exhibition opener on Dec. 19, seven weeks ago. He reported improvement in it on Jan. 12, saying it would be “fine” at some point this season despite continuing with the injections that numbed his wrist for five or six hours at a time. Now, a month later " with Bryant leading the NBA in scoring at 29.3 points per game " it is fine.

Bryant said he doesn’t even have to do any specific rehabilitation anymore, referring to the maintenance now as “nothing to speak of.”

“If you can play through injuries and heal while you’re going through them, that’s the best-case scenario,” Bryant said.

The Lakers play the Celtics on Thursday night.

If Kobe is averaging 30 when his injured coming back from a knee procedure imagine how he will be when he's not injured.

lebron fits the kobe system,, lebron passes and he shoots until his hands bleed

Yeah, that last quarter vs. Philly helped him work through it completely. roll

I did notice is three getting a bit better but still doesn't look 100%...

Even if it wasn't he'd still say it were healed.
