Losing both Ariza and Odom would absolutely be devastating to the Lakers. Imagine both players leaving? I know that it could be a far fetched conclusion, but IT COULD happen. I'm not saying it will, but the hopes of winning back to back titles would drop rapidly.

It's difficult to say...Odom has a lot of talents, difficult to find in the League. I think Ariza did a great year, but he would be replaced easily than Odom. But, at the end of the day, a franchise like the Lakers must be always thinking about the years to come...Magic, Kareem, Worthy...some day Kobe, Pau...all of them are gone or will go some day. And the Lakers are still on the top.

So, be patient, she what FA's market brings...and then, we will see Wink

Ariza is expendable, Odom is not. Much depends on Bynum next year. If he turns out to be just a flash in the pan, then we are probably a first round exit. Of course, it would also depend on if the Laker FO could sign an impact free agent, but, it seems to me that from the goings on lately, that the Lakers are so hard up, that they have zero money to offer anybody. So far, even our own free agents are laughing at us, so how could we attract anyone else to make us competitive if we lose both of these players. Lottery team, anybody?

I totally agree. Ariza, I love him and want him back, but I don't want to make the same mistake we made with Sasha last year. Lamar has to stay. If Pau or Andrew go down, LO helps keep us at a high level. Like I have said all season, LO has to stay. Also if Ariza leaves, offer Ron the MLE and lets roll. Actually Ron is better outside shooter and better on the ball defender, honestly. But he is also a wildcard that could cause probs. But if he leaves, then roll the dice.

Ron Ron aint taking the MLE... i think Odom will probably return. No way he gets 10 mil though.

He really has no choice tho. No team is really going to give Ron what he wants. He isn't the most coveted free agent. He isn't more coveted than Turkoglu, Ariza, Odom, Gordon(who has already signed).

RonRon has stated he wnts to go to a contender. That really only leave LA and Clev that have a spot for him. Both of those teams can only offer him the MLE. Unless he wnts to go play for a loser and make more money....
