Why post in both vets and normal forums?
I guess so the veteran members could talk about it without having to hear some of the newer members, i dont know maybe, lol
That's the whole point of the veteran forum. lol. hope bynum comes soon!
Well, I think it is a good idea to post articles and whatever in the vets forum. At least it keeps it alive.
Nothing wrong in posting in both areas. We need something to bring some life to the veteran areas.
.
Fantastic news.
Andrew will help us on both sides.
This is great news...Bynum just going on the trip and getting that much closer to returning is great...Gasol should be able to play in the next game or two, hopefully...things are starting to look up now, let's get home court now and get ready for the most gruesome playoffs ever...
I feel like the little kid that keeps being promised the bike for Christmas and his parents making excuses. “Next time honey.” I guess I need to be more patient. It’s just that Bynum and Gasol need time to get back into shape and have their mindset going in time for the playoffs.
It also seems that the Zen master himself is losing patients as well.
With 8 games left in the season if you are 80% it is time to play. That goes for Byno, Pau and Mihm. At this point in the season not many players are 100%. Heck Fisher is playing with a partially torn tendon in his foot and KB is playing with who knows how many injuries.
If the Lakers want to make a run, it may be time to suck it up for the injured players. Not sure what to say about Ariza if the foot is still broke and I am not sure what you can do for rehab there.
At this point, if we can get Pau back, then maybe we can salvage home court advantage. Then Bynum can work his way through these last eight games and be ready for the playoffs so we can kick butt.
I so Can't wait til both Pau and Byno play together!!!
WOHOOO!
What would that be like? Man, I can't wait either!!!
I'm with you, mtpascoe, Lbushnell, it's going to be awesome watching this team fully gel with Bynum and Gasol both in the linup, I can't wait either! And as laker2thegrave noted, this is the time of year for the contenders to suck it up and get into playoff mode - win or go home!
We need to be at a high level. If and when we meet Boston in the Finals, we have to be playing at %100. Boston is at such another level, we need to be also to prevent them from getting that 17th championship.
I can´t wait.
LakeShow is going to be an awesome team.
OK, the latest update reported just this morning is that AB was seen working out one on one with Chris Mihm. Coach PJ stated that he will work out with the team in a full court practice soon, and then we will see what it looks like at the end of the week. Well, the Clipper game is Thursday and the NO game is Friday. When will he suit up? Which game will he play in?

I just hope fans don't panic if AB plays poorly the 1st couple of games. Remember he has been out about 3 months since he has played.
They say that based on how he responds in the full court workout Saturday, and if there is little sweeling the next morning, he could be good to go. If not, then maybe the last game against Sacramento. My feeling is that is not enough warm up, especially since coach is saying it would be nice to have him in case we have to meet Shaq in the first round.
We better not meet Phoenix in the first round.
WE got Denver, which means we do not need AB as badly in the first round. In the second round I think we will get UTAH or Houston. Again, we won't need AB very much there either. So we got a good draw that allows us to wait on AB to get solid.
He might not be back until the Western Conference finals, so we need to keep playing hard. Unfortunately, it sounds like he's done for the year. It's been a long time they've said that he's coming back but it hasn't happened.
mt pascoe must be a Suns fan to make a statement like that. I was hoping the Lakers would go against the Sun in the first round so that we could have elliminated the big cactus ourselves. The Lakers are a lot better team then the Sun.
Since Bynum didn't play any regular season games, it does not sound like he will be back this season and help the Lakers. If he does come, he will not be effective in my opinion and would actually hurt the Lakers more, then help. You got to have some practice and get your body in shape before playing fulll contact. Since they have kept Bynums recovery so secret it does not sound good to me.
So much for this yea?
Next Season, Andrew, next season.
I think Drew will be back in the playoffs depending on the series and the situation. If the Lakes make it far (which I know they will), I think we would need Drew back in the WCF or the Finals. His presence alone deters shooters from going to the hoop. I won't be surprised if he does come back. Anything can happen.
AB has been on the hardwood for a couple of weeks now doing individual drills, with pivot, turn, and twist moves. Yesterday it was reported that just for fun he was practicing half court shots. I don't get it. Why is he really being held back?
If what JamFan reports is true, he will be back for the second round of the playoffs if we get past the Nuggets. That is good news to read that he is making those kind of moves on the court.
I've heard so many different stories, I'm not sure what to believe anymore....
yea, thats what I was thinking, it looks like their getting him ready to be a real weapon in the finals...but why is Gasol still at center? He should have been at PF and mihm at Center since a while ago.

Mihm doesn't play starting minutes. He needs to get adjusted to the game because of that injury and surgery. I say we put Turiaf at the C
Fisher
Kobe
Odom
Gasol
Turiaf
I think our line up is fine the way it is for this round. Against Utah I think Gasol will have to sat at C to body up on Okur and take advantage of his inside game while Lamar can guard Boozer.
we have a tough lineup, better not mess with it.
