Reputation System Implemented (P. 2)

Well, I can't take it when most of these posters are contributing to the Lakers mistakes the past three years. For any poster to like Luke Walton is a crime, for any poster to hate Kobe is a crime, for any poster to NOT criticize the Buss family is a crime, for any poster to NOT want to be a part of the Boycott is a crime, for any poster to think we even have less than 10 softies is a crime. You want the Lakers to be stronger and tougher, then look at these notes and it is time to get STRONG rather than have a bunch of puppet softie posters that will contribute to the Lakers sucking in the 07-08 season. Showtime, all I'm saying is that there ARE a number of posters that LIKE the BOYCOTT, but Dave has not taken the time to value it, why is that, just seems unusual???????????????????????????/

Yes Dave wants to keep a clean site, but I don't do anything to anyone unless they attack me first, and I want Dave to be objective and fair and BAN one person that has attacked me instead of putting the hammer on me ONLY and ignoring those EVIL posters. I have thick skin and can certainly handle those little girl posters, but it would be fair for Dave to Ban at least one of them for always making the first attack on me, that's all I'm saying!!

And the votes, it is for softies, Kobe doesn't need any votes, Artest doesn't need any votes and I don't need any votes, I tell the truth and I'm always right on with what the lakers need to do. Later, all those little girls will say is RC sure knows what is going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RC, I admire your willingness to express your thoughts... but dude you gotta keep it down a bit ... have some fun with our fellow LTBs ey... i read that you want ur opinions to be read and commented on, but sumtimes it just doesnt have to go down coz they're too demanding and one-sided... you're right, FO have lost their touch and ALL members and readers of this site may agree to that... but we cannot impose unto others wats in our minds... "Dont do unto others what you dont want others to do unto u..." and that is a sealed commandment... you dont want your opinions to be touched then its ok to be like that, but we should be SENSITIVE enough to others opinions. have PEACE bro... wow. that was intense. well, i suppose as laker fans we all have a right to be angry. i mean, making the playoffs once every few years then getting a beat down in the first round may be acceptable for other teams around the league, but it's not for us. the lakers have almost always been in contention for the nba championship since way before i was even born, so to see them in their current state isn't easy. i just hope that the front office does the right thing and makes the necessary moves for la to compete again.

Thanks Dave for your effort to keep it clean... sometimes one gets into the personal matter and derails from what we are supposed to be doing here as lakers fans. I think this is an exciting time, hoping that there would be some changes in our beloved team. Lets concentrate in that and share our opinions... at the end it won't matter anyways, since the ones taking the decisions are in the FO. GO LAKERS!!

I can't wait to get all the positive votes to be amongst the showtime posters, this is my lifetime laker fan quest, it is very important to me to get the most votes, I can't imagine my life without votes like lakerfanryan, noname25, and the other posters that received votes from their friends.

The only problem I have with the reputation system is sometimes people try to get votes. Like a class election, they campaign themselves. Its kind of lame. I mean I only have 3 votes, but the are from respected guys on the site like Cnic, and LALA. I mean I am not out trying to get people to vote for me. I just write what I think and then let people vote for me. I wish people would stop trying to talk to me about voting for them and just write and earn votes!!

Exactly whtigers!!! We are not supposed to try and get votes. But there are for sure guys on this sit who will say that they should get votes. Its pretty lame. You should just write, and you will get votes. I will throw a vote to someone if I like what they write, but please dont ask me!!

You guys are 100% right- members are not supposed to solicit votes- it's mentioned in the official site rules and guidelines. Please let me or the mods know about any attempts to solicit/trade votes and we will warn the offending member. Thanks guys!

I made a PM to Dave about this thing. Some members think they are "respected" because they have a high vote count. I mentioned it has fast become a popularity contest, not a substance-based judgment on what is rightfully vote-worthy. Write and stress out good points and the votes will come. That way, you deserve it.

Props Wi for bringing it up.

Honestly, I kind of look at my vote count in ratio to my number of posts, and I feel pretty good. I don't try to solicit or anything, but I do try to make great points....

I think that the comments and not the usernames should be shown. This way you won't have people giving "revenge" reputation votes or thank you votes.

Ya, but i really like being able to view it when someone gives me a positive vote so i can PM them and thank them
