Well Houston took a chance on the CP3/Harden combo. Didn't go well really. Now they're doing the same with Westbrook. Odd choices. Guess we'll see how it goes. Maybe they should try and get Dragic so they can have 3 ball hog PG's lol. No balance on that team. Always been their problem (in the Harden era). First mistake was getting rid of Ariza. Downhill since then. THey'll have to move Harden back to the 2. And take the ball out of his hands. Use RW as a slasher to collapse the D and fire it out to Harden from range. I don't see this ending well.
Why OKC would take this on after all the solid moves they made to acquire picks is a mystery. With the number of moves there have been this offseason so far, there is a rumor going around that owners and the league have been talking and trying to really shake things up, at the behest of the League office. A. nuclear summer to try and gain more parity, and drum up excitement this offseason to keep pole watching the NBA. Seems to be working. Easy proposition to accept imo. Something is going on. It's not just a whacky random summer of big moves. Certainly part of it is to try and not let the Lakers get strong again. It failed, thank you.
I don't remember another time when a team (let's say in this example the Clippers) made a concerted effort to keep a player away from another team by taking him on themselves. And that's but one example of many.
