Yes they are "doing" their best to get a good coach. But their best simply isn't good enough.

Mike D'Antoni 67-87

Byron Scott 38-126

Luke Walton 98-148

In the last 7 years they have gone 203-361 0.365 or won 36.5% of their games.

You may be content with such a record because your a GSW fan at heart, and have 28 other teams that you watch. For a Laker fan, it simply IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

So who is to be held accountable for all these bad hires? The Russians? Lol

Preach!!! LOL!!!

The new punchline in lakerland these days is the emergence of the great Rambii; Linda and Kurt. Lol.

They threw a $124 million 5 year contract to melo when he was 30. They signed Stoudemire to a $100 million dollar contract despite not being able to insure him medically. It was 100% guaranteed and sure enough he got injured lol. This was after going through extremely similar problems with Allan Houston. This is tip of the iceberg stuff.

You are under estimating how bad Dolan is. Lol

And LBJ isn't 35 btw.

Will be 35, and yes Dolan did all that, but if they get KD , who doesn't seem to want to play with Lebron, it's not happening. Plus the fact that Zion will feel seats and sale merchandise before he ever even gets on the court. Also why trade for Lebron when you can use that pick if #1 ,plus a few players and trade for AD, who had Knicks as one of his teams.

Well he will be 36 too at some point but his birthday is late December. So a lot closer to 34 than 35. I'm not saying that Dolan would do it, just saying that nothing is impossible with his decision making. The reason why he would do it, they are in win now mode signing Durant. I agree AD makes way more sense but how do they get salaries to match?

My high school basketball coach is available if the Lakes are interested but he wasn’t so high on adding Kurt Rambo’s to his coaching staff but he came up with a cleaver solution. He is willing to make Kurt an assistant coach on his high school basketball team and allow him to run the team through drills once every two weeks.

Vogel is a bonafide failure. He was fired from 2 jobs(Pacers/Orlando). They are just screening leftover junk. No one really wants this lakers gig. They can’t land a coach but have aspirations of getting Kawhi and KD in FA. Lol.

I would actually rather get Kidd than Vogel.

Oh I'm with you there. More than likely he said yes to Rambis as well.

Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka has spent the past few days gathering information from those who have worked with both Vogel and Kidd about how they believe those two could complement each other on a Lakers coaching staff, league sources said.

Lol....

"Hiring Jason Kidd in spite of his criminal history would show how tone-deaf the Lakers really are.

Despite a dark past that features legitimately criminal behavior, the Lakers are considering hiring Jason Kidd. An argument could be made that no team should."

In liberal L.A. you never know when some ME-TOOer starts a protest against Kidd. Lakers are tone deaf!

Not disagreeing, but everyone deserves a chance to show they've changed. Imo

Guy hasn't had anything criminal in yrs.

If we knew everyone's skeletons in closet, some could say half the world shouldn't get hired.

Couldn’t agree more. We like to latch onto one incident and define someone’s entire body of work/life.

I just hope it works out better this time and we make deep playoff run. All these coach changes didn't workout for the last 7 years. I hope this time we luck out.

Just what I was hoping for. Ripples in the water is a precursor of the turbulence/ violent waves.

“The Lakers ownership group consists of the following parties: the Buss Family Trusts, Philip Anschutz (who owns the aforementioned AEG), Edward P. Roski and Patrick Soon-Shiong. Soon-Shiong also owns the LA Times, Plaschke’s employer. The Buss Family owns 66 percent of the team, with each of six children holding an equal share.

It seems as though Jeanie Buss will get one more season to turn the Lakers around before the smoke within the organization turns into an inferno. If the other owners feel as though the team’s brand (and by proxy, their money) is taking a hit, then it would not be difficult to see them staging a coup just as Buss did to her brother Jim.”

Buss family owns 66% of the team, hard to believe a coup is possible. However, minority owners putting pressure could change the way they do things, as having p***** off partners just isn’t good for business. But seriously, a sale would be the best thing for the team.
