We are looking more like the (dysfunctional) Knicks west. Lol. When will this nonsense end?

And now woj just reported that Griffin is joining the Pelicans. So looks like that Imposter is going to stick around. Smdh!!!

On another note: Say bye bye to AD. Griffin was very adamant when he was on tv about Pelicans not caving in to the lakers.

It been stated all long that Magic had permission to fire Luke. I think Magic left because he wanted Pelinka gone as well. And Jeanie said no you are not firing Luke and Pelinka, especially when it been stated how Magic wasn't even doing the daily grinding that a president is suppose to be doing.

So lets get this straight, Magic can't do his job correctly but wants to fire the 2 guys who are doing their jobs a lot better then him?

I liked Luke, I personally don't think their is another coach on the market that is a whole better then him. Not saying Luke is the best, just saying the margin between him and whoever we get will not be a huge margin.

I think our next President is way bigger deal then our next coach, Lebron will trump any coach and we will play his style no matter what. We need a better president for our dealings.

Think he'll take best offer, Celtics don't include Tatum, than all bets are off. Unless Knicks get 1st pick and they're just looking for a player to feel seats in Zion, Knicks can't offer must more.

I flip flopped on luke during the season but I truly believe he is not a bad coach and given another year with a proper roster he would’ve been in a better spot. With Lebron and The Maginka takeover Luke was definitely dealt a **** hand. Hope all the best for him in the future. Sac would be a great fit for him roster-wise. Lots of young coachable talent, not as much pressure. Divac goes through coaches like hot cakes though, we’ll see.

On our side of things, I’ve read plenty of fan opinions on their coaches, and they’re all the same. Give me a coach that can keep Bron in check and instill a good basketball system and I’ll be okay.

Good for Luke, he did the right thing for himself. I ultimately believe he was undeserving of all the broader scrutiny he received (whether it be from within the organization or the media).

Is it too much to hope for them learning from their mistakes and Pelinka actually turns out great? This is quite depressing.

There are reports that he chose not to exercise his option since there was no job security amidst constant firing rumors. Top that off with an unstable/dysfunctional FO. He probably weighed in his options and felt he would be more secure for 3 years in Sac. Better situation than the lakers, both on and off the court.

That’s why the headline is that they mutually agreed to part ways and not that he got fired. Lol.

Repped High Quality Post

I really don't have an issue with Luke going. There was some talent on the team last year and this year and I think others would have gotten more out of it.

I was just looking for some incremental improvement especially on defense over the three years and saw nothing. That's enough for me to know there are better guys out there.

Of course then you have the question, can Jeanie and Plastic Surgery Lowe actually find him?

I trust them not at all.

Who woulda thunk that Sac would be a more desirable/stable situation than the lakers? That’s what we have been reduced to right now. Smh!!

Not sad to see Luke go. He was definitely given a raw deal but that's just the way it played out. Wish him well and hopefully he can continue to develop and come back with more experience.

As for Pelinka being safe, Jeanie is away at a meeting with the NBA or something and she wouldn't deliver news like this anyways, people are reading way too much into it.

Not a fan of Lue but I don't think there's any targets until they decide what to do with the president position, just speculation at this point. I hope they continue clearing House and bring in some real talent/experienced people across the board.

At the end of the day, this team needs a good colonoscopy. It's been 6 yrs overdue.

Desirable to whom? Luke isn't a star coach, he only got so much attention because of the run he went on with the warriors. No star players want to go there.

I can see what you are saying Tempy, about reading into RobLowe lite staying, but I have to admit, with him making the statement and the possible move upwardly(?), I was thinking he was staying, too.

Definitely not feeling Lue and Lue SHOULD want to steer clear from this mess, LeBron already almost shut down his heart last year; why go through that again?

Monty Williams, Becky Hammon (I know she ain't leaving.) Ettore Messino, on the bench would be great or Mike Woodson as an assistant.

There's a lot of moving parts right now, I think the decision to move on from Luke was already made and Magic didn't want to be the one delivering that news.

"It's a difficult decision," Johnson said, as he began to cry. "I cried before I came here; I'm about to cry now. But, it's hard when you love an organization as much as I love this organization. It's hard when you love a person like I love Jeanie. And I don't want to disappoint her. I don't want " we love Luke. So I've got to make a decision. And that's a tough thing."

Maybe I'm wrong and Pelinka is stabbing people in the back looking for power but if he is really difficult to deal with as the rumors are saying right now, there is absolutely no way Jeanie doesn't know this. I just don't see how she is ok with that after being relatively well liked in NBA circles, it's a reflection of her.

For me she told Pelinka to make the announcement, considering it is part of his duties, Mitch used to announce this stuff all the time.

I think I will puke if Ty Lue becomes the coach. The coach is not the problem.

Look at how well the team started playing for Luke when it was a squad that played within the system he put it. Guys were playing hard, hustling on D, making cuts, sharing the ball and knocking down shots.

The problem is that Bron has his own system which is 'give me the ball and maybe I'll find you, if not I will dribble the clock down and take a step back 3, but don't expect me to play D'.

This situation is such a joke. We need guys that play hard, understand basketball, who don't need to dribble too much, and that will play in a System. I would much rather watch that brand of basketball.

If Luke goes to Sac, that team is going to be very good.

We will still just be the LA LeGROINS. Add AD and he will be on the bench because of a Hang Nail injury.

I thought Dave Joerger did a good job with the Kings and was really surprised to see him fired. I'd give him some consideration, and at least give the search major due diligence before deciding 100% on Tyronne Lue.
