What are your thoughts on the game against the Utah Jazz? The guys must do what well to get the loss? Which player should Los Angeles focus on? Will the game be a high-scoring affair or more slow paced? Go Tank!

Man we should sign all the g league guys on our roster right now...screw the free agents.. lol.

On a serious note this is what I love watching, guys hustling and playing like their lives (and livelihood) depends on every possession.

Doc Rivers just mentioned on the pre-game that Pink Panther is a legit nba player and he’s surprised that the lakers haven’t picked him up yet. Doc doesn’t realize that we have “big game hunters” running the FO. Lol.

Whoda Thunk:

  1. That the game tonite would have been meaningless.

  2. That DLo would be leading the Nets into the post season.

  3. That Pink Panther would be ignored for a whole season.

  4. That The Tank would be rolling again. With LeBron!

  5. After watching Zion, we gave away the poor man's Zion for nothing.

  6. The Clipper are in the playoffs with the same bums as ours.

  7. That Zubac would become a starting center -- for the Clippers!

Of all the rotten Lakers seasons recently, THIS IS THE WORST!

Even though the win means absolutely nothing, I really enjoyed watching this game. I could see when the game was over, Donovan Mitchell gave Caruso his props. Again I hope we bring this guy back next season on a real contract.

Did not watch the game, but I just noticed on my cell that the Lakers beat the Jazz, another team going to the playoffs and Caruso and company which most are G league players are actually embarrassing the A-team of LeBron and company. We got too many starters favoring hang nails and can not play. LMAO! I think Caruso should be our future point guard. LOL!

Seems we blew our chances to get a high draft pick.

Now, according to TANKATHON.COM , we are at 9.4% for a top four pick and 2% for number one. We need real magic to get a great player out of this draft.

Fk the big FA’s, bring back Pink Panther on a multi year deal and get that guy Jemerrio Jones. I’m becoming a big fan of his game. 17 rebounds is no joke. He does everything humanly possible on the floor. Must have guy on this team.

Just sign Kemba Walker during free agency and trade one or two guys for Beale and we are set for the long haul. I would rather watch this fun brand of basketball, than see Butler poison the locker room or gut out the core for AD.

Or trade 1 or 2 guys plus pick for AD and see if Pels bite. Don't think Pels are going to get as much as they think if AD doesn't say he'll resign with whatever team trades for him. Don't think Wiz move Beal, but you never know.

Not really high on Kemba , but depends on how Zo looks this off-season, he hasn't had a off-season to work on his game since he came into league. because of injuries.

Yeah frankly even I’m slightly on the fence with Kemba. I wouldn’t mind Thobias Harris and Beal along with LBJ, Ball and BI. I would also look at getting back Lopez. The Idiots should have brought him back for this season.

I don’t know about you, but I want that McGee clown back as well. Lmao

Funny you say that, was thinking same thing about McGee, think 5hey can probably keep him for same amount of money.

Agree about Harris too, guess we'll find out soon if top players or any want team up with the King. Lol

Ironic that the leader Magic wanted is oft injured but bum knees Russell is leading his team to the playoffs.

I'm not high on Kemba myself. I hope we don't go out and try to sign someone just for the hell of it.

That seems to be the Laker way now a days; sign anyone JUST to sign. Kemba is decent player, but does he fit? Is Luke staying? Or going? The Lakers have THOSE things to focus on, but they won't. And the media reciprocates the idiocy. Vuecic, Mirotic, Danny Green, Curuso as a back-up; heck re-sign Bullock. But, the Lakers have a short-sighted FO that does not know how to look past a starting five, much less how to build for a sustained future.

Very true. They also could learn how to be silent and not broadcast everything.

Exactly. Magic and Pelinka are like those gossip You Tuber spilling tea and revealing Laker secrets. Just childish. I hope in the SHORT future they just learn to not broadcast ANYTHING and make a silent request to Lebron and his camp to stop talking.

Big name acquisition has been my issue with Lakers management which goes back to Mitch and Jim too. That swing for the fences or bust mentality has harmed this team for years now. Free agency irks me because I see the same failing strategy implemented which is: 1) Try to get a meeting with a big name/obtain a meeting with a big name and give the LA branding presentation. 2) Try to convince that big name that the current roster will improve (while other choices already have better rosters) 3) Waiting for the big name to make a decision (while other teams are signing second and third tier guys to vastly improve their teams) 4) After the Lakers strike out on the big name and lose out to a better-managed team with a better roster 5) The Lakers try to save face by signing free agency leftovers to one-year contracts so they can implement the same failed strategy the next off-season. For once I'd like to see LA address needs and stop putting redundant players on the floor. Why was LA interested in signing two small forwards (James/George) when they already had one. Why commit to a ball dominant small forward (James) who was going to turn 34 when George was the better play and the better fit with the roster and offensive system? Imo, it's time to go after a big man not named Anthony Davis. A big man won't have an issue playing with James, a perimeter guy would take more issue with it. Go after a big man, allow Ingram to flourish like he was starting to do and making it look easy while doing it. It's time for LA to realize that every player isn't going to be or has to be a star and the....

Gem, you are right on the money with this. The fans can be downright foolish and they show ABSOLUTELY no patience with developing anything. The microwave era with the fans and this team is sad, because there is now a possibility that the Lakers have taken on the guise of the 90's Clippers and the 2010 Knicks. No direction, lack of team building and ignorant chest thumping of " We are the Lakers." Sadly, it causes players too avoid coming here. Why would I come to a place where there is NO direction and if I ask you what can this team do and you can only say we have all this championships...this FO and owner are so behind the times.

I honestly think we MAY have a few guys in the organization that have a vision, but Jeannie has skipped over them for flash and no substance. Ryan West, Jesse Buss and Antwain Jamison seem to have some vision, but they will continue to get ignored and we will have MaStinka making more horrible roster moves and totally botching a opportunity to grow this roster into something great.

The only person that I can blame for the Lakers not making the playoffs this season is Magic. When Magic opened his mouth to the media that they would trade most of the team, it threw a bolt on the gears of this young Laker team. Right away I saw the youngsters not into the games. They were obviously disappointed that here they had been together for two or some for three years, and now they were just numbers to try and get one player AD who still had a two year contract. Right then and there the Pelicans figured, lets take advantage of this situation and take every thing the Lakers throw at us and more. Magic right there did not show management leadership.

But like I posted before. It is not too late and the Lakers still have four young and talented top draft picks that have matured a lot under the experienced LeBron and some other older players. Build around these four, sign KCP and Caruso, and probably McGee. They are pretty good players as back up bench players. And then fill in the blanks with players that fit into the puzzle. We will still have cap space for a max player, so he better be a good one, and the Lakers should be just fine for next season.

But stay away from players that are over 30 years old. Most athletes once they go past thirty it is all down hill. Knees just do not have that lift anymore. There are some exceptions, but in the normal world, they are going down hill.
