Imo they could have explored this earlier in the season when we sorely lacked shooting and were jockeying for playoff positions. Now it’s just a tank move. Lol.

No matter what, this is a true "feel-good" story. I hope it becomes a Netflix movie!

Would have definitely been more productive than both Beasley and that fake muscle man, that’s for sure. Now they are going to strip the South Bay lakers of all their players while building a bullet proof tank. Lol.

Honestly Williams, Pink Panther and A.Ingram would have fared better than the junk they collected this off season.

Walton should focus on the development of Bonga as 1 or 2 and give him more minutes rather than getting players from South Bay Lakers which will not be included for next season roster. Lakers is done anyway for this season so he should concentrate more on players development rather than winning which is very remote. Seriously, coach Walton is really dumb yet stubborn.

I don't get this move! Yes it is a feel-good story, but why not bring up a younger player that either a) may play well and we can use next year or b) play well and we might be able to use as part of a trade this off-season. I am a HUGE Magic fan, but even I am losing faith quickly.

Have they done anything that has made sense all season long? Why is this all of a sudden surprising?

I think a lot of this made sense for a while. I thought they started out their tenure well. The trade of DLo was a good move in my eyes. Yes, I would have loved to see him next to ZO as a passing two guard, but it got rid of the horrendous contract of Mozgov. Their first draft was also really good. I might be in the minority, but I like ZO. The way he helps our defense shows in the stats. Kuz was a steal where they got him and Hart was a nice player for a lower first round selection. Heck, even Thomas Bryant was a nice find in the second round. (I wish we had kept him. Went to a few South Bay Laker games when he was there and loved his play and attitude). I was sad to see Julius go, but I sort of expected it. I know a lot of people on this site pine for Julius to come back but his defensive stats are horrible. He might score 20 but he is giving up 30 to his man. I thought the signing of LeBron was good too. They almost had to sign him. Are his skills declining? Yes, but they were so high to begin with they are still great. I wasn't even that mad at some of their questionable signings after Lebron. They seemed to have a plan of changing the game from a three point contest to something a little more old school. Needless to say, the plan hasn't worked. Injuries have played a huge part but so has some questionable coaching decisions. My "sudden" surprise came with the deadline deals. ....
