For once I’d like to see the media truly hammer Maginka for their BS. All they had to do was stay the course with the young guys and once Mozgov/Deng’s cobtracts were done then you’re talking about filling the roster around the main guys. I’ve been trying to let it go but it’s hard to when we all know it’s not easy to acquire talent and we had it.

It’s gettidnng harder and harder watching these guys get better for other teams while we’re old and suck balls!

yep, we have essentially become a G league team for other professional teams. Kids start their development process here and get called up to thrive elsewhere.

Magic is too impatient and he doesn’t need to be in that position. He doesn’t want to develop any young kids unless they come out the gates like KD, AD, KAT, etc. he would have traded Giannis or Beal who both took a few years to develop.

I feel your frustration. We are really in a pretty bad spot here. 1.) We started tanking with the season coming to an end which is going to be rough when it comes to acquiring a decent pick. Let's me real, our luck has run out and we will most likely end up with an 8th pick or something comparable. 2.) Free agents? What name so? They don't want to come here to join this circus. We may be able to get some more vet one year contacts but the prominent players will not come here. 3.) Trade LeBron? We have all heard the rumor's. Trade him for what? 2nd round draft pick? The media is doing a hell of a job minimizing his trade value because LeBron attracts too much attention and will make them a target for other teams. I think we are stuck with him until his contract expires or we blow the whole team up. 4.) We are now stuck in a situation where we may need the trade the entire core for one or two stars. They are not coming here on their own. The problem is that I think other teams like Boston have more to offer than we have to hand over in deals. We just don't have the asset's. We may strike out in that field as well. I suppose time will tell. The question is, what do we do now? 1.) Somehow we need to get rid of Magic. He's a bumbling idiot who is stuck in the 80s where he thinks this is where everyone wants to be. I think he has convinced himself that we are someone going to have this championship team next season. The rest of the league has other plans for us, trust me. 2.) Do we keep or ditch Luke? Although I....

Trade James for another star that is on an expiring deal and the team doesn’t want to lose him for nothing. For example AD. Trade him for Randle! 😂😂

SPQR would’ve loved the Pelicans game last night. Most bully ball I’ve ever seen. Randle just kept going right at the Blazers’ bigs and abusing them!

Whoever gets 1st pick in draft ain't trading it for a 34 year old Lebron. And the way Zion has been playing, don't think a team is going to trade that pick period, unless it's for a young superstar like Greek Freak or possibly AD, and probably not even than

Only way we get Zion is by moving up lottery night, highly highly doubtful.

We'd need that Dan Gilbert luck for that to happen.....lol.

The secret is out: The whole NBA knows Father Time has caught up with the former King. His shots are getting blocked, he has no lift anymore, he is not even getting the calls as much and he takes longer to heal than when he was younger. His defense is a thing of the past.

The only way we can trade a thirty-four year old LeBron is to find a GM as dumb as Majinka. Which is highly doubtful.

I guess we are likely stuck with an aging superstar until he turns thirty-eight.

It seems our specialty is handing out long term top dollar contracts to over-the-hill players. Nash, Deng, VodkaMan, the Mailman, Gary Payton, LeBron, et. al.

DO WE EVER LEARN? NO!

Couldn't disagree more, if injuries hadn't happened, and this team was still 4th seed in playoff race , think you'd see an engaged player who actually gives a damn about what's happening on court.

Yeah, he's 34 , but he can still play at high level when he wants to, his comments after game said everything. He said "there's no difference between Knicks and Lakers but a few games, neither of us are going to playoffs". Basically he's checked out already!!!!

I find it more troublesome that we're stuck with this FO, who probably should have passed on signing him in 1st place at this stage of current teams development, but after they did , they had a 8 year blueprint on how to put right team around Lebron to help him succeed, and they chose to do the exact opposite .

They were 4th for how long? lol They were no where near the 4th best team in the west. They had a relatively easy run of games and were something like 2 games ahead of the 9th seed at that point.

Injuries definitely took a hold but you should not be relying on a 34 year old with an insane amount of career mins to stay healthy. Yes he can play at a high level when he wants to, but in a brutal west you can't only turn it on when you want, you have to bring it every single night.

As for the 8 year blueprint, Lebron had at most a 3 year window of championship contending without serious help. Watching him play now it would be tempting to say he has next season only.

When I say 4th seed, I mean more that they were in playoffs picture. And I still think we'd see the same Lebron from last few years if they were. As for 8 year blueprint, I mean Lakers had 8 pervious years to look at on how to build team around him and didn't.

Well with the change in FO it's not fair to say they had 8 years, but at the same time they are doing things the exact same way as the previous FO lol.

Just wish they would pick a direction and go with it.

Yes, I understand this. The media is doing a bang up job minimizing his trade value. We would be lucky to get a ham sandwich for him now. Either we give him away for NOTHING or keep him until his contract expires. Not our call, but we will see how these super genius's handle it.

True, but Magic and Rob have been watching basketball games I'm sure, so them not putting shooters around him was a big mistake. That and not bringing back Randle and Lopez, at least if you resigned them , they could have traded one of them or both and gotten something in return. Obviously it looks like it wouldn't have taken that much to resign Randle, teams probably would have lined up to get player like him on a good contract, if he played like he's been playing with Pels.
