We will officially be out of the playoff hunt. Time to start scouting the draft class.

Thank you magic for trading our best young center. Now we have a bugs bunny center and another one who is almost as old as Kareem. And if they get hurt we have the new guy Muscle milk or Kuzma playing center.

I would say bring in another coach but another coach would get the same result.

i agree. The team is going to take a little bit to come together. Lebton’s Body language and other guys too just isn’t good.

Question -- is it just me (as a Kuzma fan) or does BI NEVER pass the rock to an open Kuzma? Jealousy? Sure looks like they cannot co-exist.

It’s just you. BI gave the rock to Kuzma at the end of the Boston game. He would not have given it to Kuzma for a crucial shot if he really did have some kinda grudge like you’re insinuating. And like others said already, BI doesn’t pass much or he holds onto the ball for too long. I’m positive you just want Kuz to have the ball more no matter who has the ball hahaha.

Anyway, so much for a should-be-win, a limp Lakers team on paper should still be more than enough to take the Hawks out. How embarrassing.

Lebron's body language looks like he has a agenda.

They need to come home. Staples is where they’ll redevelop their chemistry. ASB won’t hurt either. We still have time to make a run at the playoffs.

I think he’s gone after the all star break. But Magic should fire himself now and they should look at bringing in David Griffin

Luke is a goner. Whether it's during the ASB or in the offseason. He's not coming back next year and I think even he knows it.

If lakers want to win..luke need to take control and adjust game plans and players. If players not showing effort, take them out and put in another player, etc. From the way they are playing, seems like players are doing whatever they wanted and no game plans

LeBron has either gotten old suddenly or desn;t want to win so he can demand a trade to a contender.

Luke is one horrible coach. You tell BI "STOP DRIBBLING or you will be benched." Pretty simple, eh?

Amazing how our season was on a positive trajectory, Lebron gets hurt, but we recover, the youngins looked like they were getting up to speed, particularly Zo and BI (Kuz has always been fine this season). Then that all goes down the drain when one person demands the trade. We owe this Magic alone.

25 games left. Not that much time. Every game is critical and tonight's game should have been a gimme.

I think at this rate they would struggle to even surpass 35 wins they registered last season. Lol.

Played LBJ 43 mins tonight, the whole 4th quarter. Luke is desperate for wins but somethings up. The team either aren't playing for their leader LBJ, their coach or both. Either way Luke is gone. If that is the case, may as well make the change now and try for a playoff push.

I need to go look at the prediction thread at the beginning of the season. Pretty sure some were predicting 55 wins lol

They should chase Magic out of town first. Lol. They keep getting new players into the mix and mess up whatever little chemistry that has been built.

Luke has to go. He lost the respect of his players. Losing this game against the lowly rated Hawks sent a very clear signal to the FO and if Luke has the decency, he should tender his resignation and not wait to be fired.

I personally feel they were somewhat over that as was evident in the Boston game. Magic going over to Philly (foolishly) and asking them to grow up and reminding them that this is a business was savage. He even told them to brace themselves for the off season as they were going to be some player movements.

I genuinely thought Magic was going to bring a change of scenery when it came to management. He said the right things, keep the young core, sign free agents, compete now and later. Fast forward to now it depresses me to say that it’s just as bad as the Jimbo Era, albeit in a different way.

Builds a team of brickers, figures out halfway through the season “oh we need shooters!” Trades a part of our young core away for a one year rental big when we have a perfectly capable MOE WAGNER. After the AD kerfuffle, he said he intended to meet with our players, what does he do? “Our players aren’t babies, it’s a business.” However true that might be, that’s not what the kids want to hear. They know he thinks of them as expendable, he tried to trade all of them for ONE player. ONE. ONE. ONE. Magic has no business running a team. I should’ve known, a guy who said he would take Brandon Knight first overall in his draft year. Wouldn’t surprise me if he really did want DAF over Zo. What a garbage President.

Thought same thing until Boston got beat by Clips next game. Lol

Guess we better get ready for J. Kidd era.

For Mark Jackson lovers, apparently there's a reason why no one has hired him, off a Warriors fan on reddit answering a guy asking why David Griffin refused to hire Mark:

Quote:
He sabotaged any attempt to hire strong assistants because he was insecure about his role as a coach.

He distanced the team from the front office and taught them not to trust them, or any other outsider.

He divided the locker room and pitted them against one another, and played favorites or straight up hated on some players.

Some extra stuff: conspired to get john stockton benched/retired by pitting the locker room against him while playing for the Jazz. (similar strategy as when he was a coach)

Hypocritical bible thumper that cheated on his wife and tried to [play it] off.

MOST importantly: banned Jim Barnett from practices. GTFO

He also banned Jerry West from practices.

Jason Kidd had "terrible" rotations and threw his players under the bus at every opportunity, from a Bucks fan: "Quite possibly the worst coach in the league at the time."

We're going to be in for a wild ride.
