Oh my I am going to have to stay off this forum for a few weeks, the out rage that is going to come from this trade is going to be crazy. Lets really look into it, Zubac had like 6 good games for us this year. I am not saying he is bad by any means, but half of this forum felt like he was the next all-star on our rooster after his first 2 good games this year. Same thing happen when Josh Hart broke out for a period of time and look at him now.

PS: I hate this trade, but I can't change it so I'm not going to waste my time worrying about it.

Clippers wanted Zubac attached to the deal to off load muscala. He was arguably the best Center recently with maximum upside. He was coming into his own. Luke has stunted his growth by burying him at the end of the bench, not his fault. This is terrible and then you have the blind worshippers of the front office.

Don't think they were going to resign Zu .still don't like it, but this guy coming in can at least shoot the 3. Think that's what they're doing putting shooters around Lebron.

Think you might get to fire up your Tank !!! Lol

Like lakerfilmroom mentioned in the tweet above, they are sacrificing young players for the mistakes they made by not signing shooters in the first place. They should have addressed that in the off season before the season began.

You got rid of a huge bargaining chip and young asset in Zubac. He could have been handy in future trades. Plus he was really coming into his own.

Yet another stupid move by smiling Earv..

At this point one has to believe that LeBron is LeBlowing Earv..

I'm sure with the open roster spot we can entertain the idea of adding Carcinogen Anthony to the team..

So sick of this team!

I guess we are going to get rid of all of our young talent to please LBJ. We should have let him stay in Cleveland. At this rate, it is going to be at least 8 to 10 years before we see another title. What a joke.

This trade is a Jerry West special. Magic might be a good business man (where have I heard that one before?) but he is a HORRIBLE GM.

To give away Zu -- especially to the Clippers -- is impossible to fathom.

IDIOT. IDIOT. IDIOT.

They traded away russel for nothing and let randle walk away for nothing...

I really liked Zu. He was some decent conditioning away from being a legit starting center. I’m not too tore up about the trade because Muscala is actually pretty good and is a good fit. I just hate to see Zubac go.

Bleacher Report just gave us a D and the Clippers an A on this trade.

Last time we traded a young center (granted for Pau) he became an All-Star -- Marc Gasol.

At this point I am getting really disgusted.

And if Zu becomes an All-Star NEXT DOOR, I will ______. Fill in the blank!

I felt the FO is worried Zu will demand more money in the offseason?

D? Wtf? I was thinking it would be more like an -F. Lol. They dumped a young asset to correct their own mistakes(no shooters) while constructing the roster. They keep sacrificing youngsters to either dump salaries or to plug holes in a leaking pipe. It started with Russell, letting Randle walk for nothing, burning a pick and Svi for a 1 yr rental and now this. Horrible asset management. This is not Starbucks.

Addendum: After what transpired in the AD debacle and how they got schooled by a poverty franchise, im not defending this FO anymore.

D is a good grade for the trade. We obviously lost the big picture but Muscala at the very least patches some of the bleeding we’re having right now.

Heard that Kanter is among players to be bought out. I think getting him won't hurt the deal in a bit.

This has got to have been one of the most poorly constructed rosters in a long time. Bring in centers to hinder Zu's development. Bring in Rondo to do the same to Ball. Bring in Lance so Ingram and Hart can get some rest on the bench. I said it in the summer when they were all signed that the roster needed shooting. None of them bring anything different to the roster.

Yet the Hive mind was parroting the FO how they all brought defense and toughness and the Lakers needed to do something different to beat the Warriors.

Now they trade away assets to bring in "shooters" to make a run at the 8th seed LMFAO.

Without realizing that those assets could potentially come in handy for a future trade down the line. Lol. Hell they could have even explored the B/O market after cutting or waiving Beasley and some of the other mob squad they assembled.

Exactly. When Pelinka was first introduced they talked about having a plan for 3 seasons ahead, what free agents were going to be available yada yada yada yada. What the f happened?

They stripped the roster of assets to do what? The season is a wash.

Wayne Ellington just got cut by PHX. We could have picked him up in the b/o market without dumping assets. Muscala takes mins away from Moe. Again duplicate talent.

Asinine front office operators.

It’s an amazing business model they have. Dump assets to get rid of bad/unwanted contracts. Lol.

So who’s next? Josh Hart/ BI to get rid of McGee? Lmao
