Everyone involved in this trade was/is not going to contribute to getting W's. It's honestly irrelevant.

I would have gotten rid of James. This franchise is becoming a joke. We had 1 year as an “up and coming team” sandwich by years of being a Joke.

At this point one has to believe that LeBron is LeBlowing Earv..

I'm sure with the open roster spot we can entertain the idea of adding Carcinogen Anthony to the team..

So sick of this team!

There’s nothing enjoyable about us anymore.

I guess we are going to get rid of all of our young talent to please LBJ. We should have let him stay in Cleveland. At this rate, it is going to be at least 8 to 10 years before we see another title. What a joke.

Been saying that from day 1. In fact we are slowly becoming Cleveland. Not the Cleveland that won, but the Cleveland at the end, full of aging mediocre players and the one young star they have not wanting to play with James. But the major difference is, James is in the West now and he is 34 years old and injured. And we are stuck with him for at least 4 years. You know Magic will never admit he is wrong and trade James away.

Idiot? Waittt....

aren’t you the one that’s talked the most $hit to me for pointing out how stupid Magic has been? Aren’t you the one that tells me to go away if that’s how I feel? Hmm...

Ellington is a pretty good floor spacer but he wasn't happy with his minutes. Not sure how he is going to get much time in the rotation of Ingram/Kuzma/Pope/Hart/Bullock

This has got to have been one of the most poorly constructed rosters in a long time. Bring in centers to hinder Zu's development. Bring in Rondo to do the same to Ball. Bring in Lance so Ingram and Hart can get some rest on the bench. I said it in the summer when they were all signed that the roster needed shooting. None of them bring anything different to the roster.

Yet the Hive mind was parroting the FO how they all brought defense and toughness and the Lakers needed to do something different to beat the Warriors.

Now they trade away assets to bring in "shooters" to make a run at the 8th seed LMFAO.

Bring in James to do the same to... Everybody!

Exactly. When Pelinka was first introduced they talked about having a plan for 3 seasons ahead, what free agents were going to be available yada yada yada yada. What the f happened?

They stripped the roster of assets to do what? The season is a wash.

To get LBJ. Magic is obsessed with him.

Can't trade him away, no trade Clause. James ain't going nowhere, unless he wants to.

Don't see what the big deal is about trading a player they obviously weren't bringing back next year.

Magic certainly isn’t living up to his name as a GM but he was horrible when he tried coaching. I’m not sure that the Lakes improved their front office by bringing in Magic and Rob. These guys keep promising block busting deals then make questionable moves.

Maybe I lack insight in reference to how to run a basketball operation, but if I didn't know any better, I'd say Magic Moron Johnson is trying to hurt this team. This move makes absolutely no sense to me. Zubac is an up and coming finesse center who's abilities are difficult to find. He is already showing signs of greatness and we handed him to a rival for trash. Zubac may never be an All-Star but he reminded me a lot of Pau Gasol. Why couldn't we have given the Clippers McGee or Chandle? Why Zubac? Honestly, I would to have to seriously consider a Beasley/Mascula straight trade, let alone a Beasley and Zubac/Macula trade. Did we just make a trade for the sake of making a trade?

Who is Michael Mascula anyway? Perhaps he is one of those no namer's that came out and had a career night vs. the Lakers one time. I can't recall. If we took every no namer who made us look like idiots once, we would have a pretty **** up team.

I don't want to hear the Magic Johnson defense so save it. The guy is a bumbling idiot. He bumbled the potential PG13 signing. He bumbled the potential K. Leonard signing. He let DeMarcus Cousins walk to the Warriors for reasons I have yet to figure out. He bumbled the A. Davis drama. Lastly, be bumbled this year's trade deadline. If he left it at Bullock, I would have given him a C+ to a B- for specifically not making us worse. Where is David Stern to call for a trade veto? We could use one of those. No one is saying anything because this trade makes us even worse. The league loves watching this team suffer. Good job. Magic, get the **** out of here. Let Jennie run the show. You are clearly out of your element.

This was simply a deal to get another stretch 4..get rid of beasley.... and create a roster spot for a buyout player ( possibly Jordan?) I like how zubac played at times, but at others he looks lost. End of the day, they probably started him to try and see what his trade value might be, but I'm sure had they had a better offer, they would have took it. Imo javale is better and tyson makes better decisions than Zu did, no offense from tyson. But better d.

I just read on B/R that LA is interested in Markieff Morris after his buyout from Pels. Do it. He's tough minded guy.

He has some spinal back issues and he is not that good in rebounding.

We know how it is in LA, young players are trash until they go to another team and play better. I wonder why that is? This team needs a better offensive system and defensive system imo. For ages now I've been watching guys take turns doing isos, post ups with some two man basketball. We can't seem to get any consistent drive and kick or backdoor plays for easy baskets or corner threes to save our lives. I see other teams do it quite often

Think you might get to fire up your Tank !!! Lol

You're right on the money. They were not going to resign Zubac. The Lakers' strategy seems to be, acquire guys on expiring contracts so it doesn't mess with cap space. I don't know Muscala's contract situation but I'm fairly certain Muscala's contract has to end after this season which is LA's MO. LA will have max money to strike out in FA again and also will offer more one year contracts after they do.

The only thing you can do is put spot up shooters or guys who don't need the ball around Lebron because he's either playing iso ball or two man ball.

Lack of a team culture here. Lakers are still a dinosaur when it comes to team development and moving past "We're the Lakers" era. I think some of us has been saying this for a number of years and this tells you something that, with Kup and Buss gone, nothing seems different. Same chase after players that you can't get, settle on players you won't keep, let good to all-star players walk for nothing, but ACTUALLY think some of your fans don't see this mess, BUT the management does not care. Their weird Laker fantasy of being the best and not putting out the best product is toxic and sad.

"Strike Out". That about sums up my thoughts of clearing cap space.

Morris, I think would be better for the team, but wonder how much time is he going to see and who is going to get sacrificed rotation wise...totally forgot Walton's rotations are not great, so Anthony is going to fit in perfectly...lol!!!

And Morris is repped by Klutch sports. Lol. On another note, they could have tried to get T. Harris and paired him with Lebron once they realized they were getting punked by the Pels. Any competent FO would have gotten wind of Clippers plans and I’m sure they would have gladly accepted the similar haul of picks from us, which they ended up taking from Phily. That would have been a perfect foil for Lebron and he would have blended in seamlessly with the core. They never had a back up plan in place to begin with.

I don’t think that’s the type of player that Lebron/Magic want.

I’m not sure why Davis wants to be a spot up shooter for Lebron. We know it’s going to happen because it’s happened to both Bosh and then Love. Those two went from 24-10 guys to 17-9 guys while with Lebron. AD would be so much better in a system like Toronto or Brooklyn who run good offensive sets imo.

I’ll take Morris over Melo anyday. Melo in his prime was unstoppable, but he still thinks at 34 years old he can still ball like he was Nuggets Melo. Give me Morris, tough guy who can hit the three.

Up and coming what, would he have been worth the money they might have had to pay him next year. Like Zu a lot, but he's easily replaceable. Besides the fact that he's kind of a dinosaur in today's NBA.
