What are your thoughts on the upcoming contest vs. the Memphis Grizzlies? The guys must do what well to get the win? Who on the Grizzlies should Purple and Gold focus on? Will the game be a high-scoring affair or low-scoring? Which Laker will step up this game?

For all the good that can be said about Rondo as a leader and playmaker, he too holds the ball for way too long

Something you thought you’d never say this season:

“Give Zu the ball!”

So does BI. Finally, a 6:30 Sunday home game!

Agree. I mentioned that BI and Bron both does that in the Pels game thread. It's frustrating

Not sure why people are surprised about Zu. He's always been capable, showed a lot of promise as a rookie. Our direction as a team just doesn't align with his playstyle. He's taken strides though when it comes to his conditioning. Hopefully he can keep it up, I'd like to see him succeed

BI has a sweet shot when he's in rhythm. Guy needs to stop trying to be Kobe and play with the flow of the game.

We are using the ole Kobe strategy -- keep it close and then bring in a fresh LeBron late 4th quarter!

Our entire team gets so jumpy when the ball is in the post. Hands up, feet planted when guarding in the post

Garbage. It's one thing to lose a close game at home, but to show no semblance of fundamentals, no energy, no IQ while collapsing at the most crucial time? The youngsters showed a lot more heart last year. LeBron and Rondo both seem to be trying to babysit the team the way they hold onto the ball. This was the most frustrating game I have had to watch in a long time

You never know what Laker team you are going to get. We have basically become a .500 team trading wins and losses. I would not imagine beating the Warriors Christmas day. Garbage game tonight.

Why is Lonzo taking 3's in crunch time? He single-handedly lost the game.

Old saying: If you want to shoot 3's, you need 3 point shooters. We have two at best: Kuzma and LeBron.

We didn't take care of the ball tonight, and I hope Zo realizes he's starting to slingshot the ball again, I know he can shoot the ball but he needs to focus on his fundamentals on his jumper to be more consistent. Square up, and smooth release, rather than swinging it from left to right. Guy was so good at UCLA, it's a shame.

Griz also deserved credit, they played us well in transition defense. Clearly we're still a work in progress, and having two main cogs come back wasn't gonna make things easier.

EDIT: Im mildly concerned about Zo being too passive. Id think by now he'd be comfortable enough to run the offense on his own, but he still defers way too much. One night he's everything we wanted him to be and more, then for 5 nights he takes a few dribbles, and gives it to LBJ. LBJ has helped Kuz and a few others on this team but Zo and Ingram in particular isnt, though BI has gotten better based off these past two games.

I can see NBA.COM now, "Grizzlies annihilate weak Laker team." Their stories always favor the other team. It's super annoying.

We can blame it on who's taking and missing shots but the individual defense and team defense as a whole is terrible. We probably give up more points than any team in the league and if we don't, we're darn close to it.

Lonzo Ball - 4 points, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds in 27 mins. That's pretty bad. Probably would help to not spend so much time auditioning for shows like Drop the Mic. Focus on your goddamn jump shot.

Zo always impacts the defense though. I wish he'd man up and take over the offense more as well but defensively he is one of the best on our team if not the best. He had a much better rookie campaign where he really ran the offense. Now he just defers to LeBron because of course he will.

Zubac got killed in Pick and roll oh well. We lose some winnable games. But we werent able to capitalize

This is a weak team in some areas.

No consistent shooting, and lapses on defense.

This team is not built well, despite winning record.

But West is going to be close, probably this whole season , don't see any teams running away with it, even GS.

Like J Wall mentioned the defensive schemes employed by the lakers coaching staff is something he witnessed in high school. Lol. Something’s gotta give. This BS is unacceptable.

Zo and his jumpshot...its not just a jumpshot its his hands. We are talking about hands of freaking Kwame Brown. Layups he is capeble of missing...I mean he is like a kid who is shooting a ball for the first time in his life. I think you can't improve and teach that...its just getting worst and worst.
